They did get back to me were available to let me see it and drive it. Polite and nice while first seeing it. I was still looking at a couple other ones and got back to him later inntbe even about the credit application and so on. I was pre qualified going in through Car Guru lenders but unfortunately denied me once running my credit. When i talked to them and explained my situation and had a very drastic decrease of ocer 200 pt in my score in less then 2 months due to a unfortunate set if incidents thst im currently tsking care if. Asked what i need ti do to get the suv. He replied put about half down and have a co signer with exceptional credit. I replied and asked if he could give me a exact number are a closer number. Basically telling him tell me in dollars what i need to bring. Cause i was able to get the necessary funds and co signer to purchase the suv the next afternoon. He clearly didnt believe me and never responded to my question on the amount. He lost the sale i quit.

Took the 2 hour drive in hopes to take home this vehicle.
after doing a car fax report it showed no issues. The minute I got in the vehicle it had obviously been
heavily smoked in. the passenger seat was broken and the engine light was on. the brakes locked up and before
getting out of the driveway I knew it was garbage. The dealership is not friendly and there was no other options
given to me to look at after driving all that way. A waste of time.

This was my first time at Dakota Motors. I went in looking for Subaru Forester with several in mind that I had seen online. Within a few minutes of arriving to the dealership, they had several choices of vehicles pulled up for me to look at and test drive. After viewing several vehicles, I found one that met mine and my families needs. Throughout the visit, I ended up work with three different employees. All three were kind, informative, and helpful without being pushy. My needs and concerns about the vehicle were addressed honestly and fairly and I left with the vehicle of my choice. This seems like a great place to find a used vehicle at a fair price. As with all used vehicles, do your research, ask questions, and do a thorough inspection prior to purchasing and I’m confident you’ll leave a satisfied customer too.
I love my new vehicle so much and everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much (:

Response was quick and good. We actually went up (drove almost 2 hours) to look at this and another vehicle but ended up purchasing a different one that they had just gotten in. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made the buying process quick and easy. Highly recommend this dealership.

This vehicle was in terrible condition they took days to call we had to keep calling and they lied numerous times about fixing it. Very shady company, Bert was terrible and rude to deal with.

responded but just asked me to call them instead of providing any info via email.
There was no response to my inquiry about the first car. Later, I emailed about
another car on a Saturday and did receive confirmation that the vehicle was
still available, late Monday. I attempted to make a reservation to see the car
and was told to come any time. When I arrived at the lot, the salesperson got
the keys and placed them on the desk, and told me to take a spin. No sales
pitch or explanation about the car. When I returned from my test drive, the
salesperson left the lot! I took the keys to another s/p and told him I was
interested but I had a concern that I wished to get an answer to. He told me to
call them, next day. When I got home, I emailed the first s/p about the concern
and asked him to get back to me when he had addressed that concern. I gave
both s/p's good buying signals but neither seemed interested. A very
frustrating experience! And no response from anybody about my concern!

Drove over an hour to see all of the wranglers they have. Sellers do not know much at all about the wranglers they have. No one assisted me in looking. I finally sat down with Ryan. I was told I was going to be called Monday morning with more information. I was never called I called twice now and still haven’t gotten any responses.

I hadn't even test drove the Vehicle and the guy I spoke with on the phone ,I said I have worked hard at getting my credit rating up ,so IDO NOT want a hit on my credit until I'm sure it the vehicle for me , I should of known better, but I double checked I said this won't effect my score right he said no well down 6 points so my interest rates went , I even explained to Him that the last car loan I got I was charged 29.9% interest in a vulnerable place in my life and got completely screwed over in that situation lotion and hes still when I hadn't hit my credit oh excuse me he didn't capital one did but it was his actions that is actions that cause that. Why won't buy a car from this guy.
Not good with information and never got the return call back as salesperson stated would happen. Very unprofessional and rude in my opinion.

Everyone I dealt with at this dealership were so pleasant and helpful. I will definitely look them up the next time I am looking for a car.
Called at 11:00am to ask if available, said I am driving down from St. Cloud to view/purchase they said ok. After my 1.5 hour drive. Walked it and was told someone was purchasing it, maybe I should have road with them..bad customer service. I understand that vehicles are first come, but this was the only vehicle I was interested in. They could have said sorry, can we show you something else.

In response to your response. I do not live in North Dakota but thanks for that. And I’m pretty sure I know what vehicle I looked at. Whatever guy pulled this truck up was smoking in it after they took 5 minutes jump starting it. Then he and the truck disappeared for about 10 minutes. Then the guy in the nice lowered Lexus said something like “what is this sh*t” when he saw it happening. The truck wreaked of smoke as well. Maybe you don’t know who is working for you…

Bart helped with grabbing the car and letting me drive it. Didn't mention anything regarding the accidents until I mentioned the front frame damage behind the front grill. He did offer to lower the price dramatically but I did not want to purchase.
Ryan is okay at responding to emails but does not care to provide any information regarding carfax etc. Only thing he answers is the availability of the car and that's about it. Ryan just says "do your own research" in the email when asked for the carfax. I have the emails if anyone needs proof. Even when I mentioned the incorrect VIN number to get him to mention the correction of the VIN number stating he "has the carfax right here", but does not care to send the carfax to me regarding the vehicle.

I emailed to check on availability & they were quick to answer along story suggesting I call before diving up the next draft to verify it was still there. I went in knowing what I wanted. They were friendly & answered my questions even though they were very busy that day. I was pleasantly surprised that the Jeep I was looking at had even more trim than I'd expected, and immaculate. The usually long and tedious paperwork process went very quickly. They didn't have a lot of wiggle room on the price, but it was already under nada average price by enough that I didn't feel the need to barter. I was out the door and in my driveway that evening with a smile on my face. I have already stated recommending them. Well worth the drive from southern MN to get what I wanted.

Was contacted but never returned my questions on pricing about the car or other cars I was interested in.
They listed trim level as "advanced", but it was a lower level trim called "Premium". I contacted the dealer to correct the listing. They acknowledge it was wrong, but
would not say they would fix it. I asked twice they fix the listing, but with no success. It was obvious from the photos it was not the "advanced", so that is what initiated my
phone call to the dealer
As you may know, many dealers will list a higher trim level in advertising so the car is rated higher and so they get more people interested, thinking it is a much better deal.
It has now been almost a month and the dealer still has it listed as the wrong trim level. I guess notifying the dealer is pointless if listing the trim level wrong was done on
purpose.

Call dealer we would drive down Saturday morning to take a look at the vehicle and leave before their hours. All I asked was that they call me if they sold the vehicle Friday night. After leaving for Farmington Saturday morning we called the dealer and of course they said they had sold it Friday night and no one ever called us.
Terrible customer service in this regard for this particular event . Would not recommend

They gave me wrong information about car over the phone the first time I called saying they still had the car and then called back and said they didn’t. I still went and looked at other cars and it was a long wait and some of the employees weren’t knowledgeable on their stock of cars at all.

We went to see a 2013 Equinox and test drove, but wife did not like color. Otherwise it was well priced and had good/new brakes and tires. We sat down the with Ryan F he was very helpful and all staff was low pressure He printed out 3 Subaru's in our price range and we wandered lot by ourselves with him telling us when you find one to test drive, just let us know.
They have many desirable well priced cars and lots of SUV's. I was impressed by the fact that almost all had new tires (not cheapo's) and brakes or brakes were in good shape.looking at rotors and pad thickness.
When we decided to test drive 2, they were brought up front right away even though was a busy Saturday.Test drives went good and we chose a 2012 Impreza 2.0 Premium. I was pre-approved through my bank for 5.9% with 10% down. We decided to see what their finance guy could do and got us 6.24% with zero down....DONE!
Total time spent 3.5 hrs yet I spent 3x that on net. Go there first!

Purchased a Nissan from the helpful staff and one day later, had trouble with the transmission. Without hesitation the dealer gave us a loaner car and quickly replaced the transmission. Fantastic, "down home thirty year neighborhood dealer". Buy from these guys without fear...….

I called and spoke with a sales person. He was pretty abrupt and almost
confrontational. The website said he would meet on Sundays by
appointment. He informed me he was not willing to give up his free time
regardless what the website said since he could not sell the car on Sunday.
Wouldn't buy a car there on principle alone now.

The have twice advertised a Toyota Prius Plug-in BASE model as the
ADVANCED model, which is a totally higher price. Maybe they get more
people interested if they list a vehicle as a more expensive model. I dont

Easy negotiating with owner and the price was more than fair. Oil wasn't changed, rear brakes were in horrible shape but that was all figured into the selling price. To be fair the owner did offer to repair the brakes. The vehicle I bought was very clean. I will be recommending Dakota Motor Company to friends and family.

Would be my first choice for buying a used car again! Very straight forward conversations about the vehicles. Didn't feel any pressure to buy the vehicle we were interesting in. Called ahead of time to check on availability and we gave the heads up we would be an hour before we got there. Dakota said they would hold it until we got there! Vehicle we purchased had the Carfax full history. Great experience!

Warning lights on the dashboard are there for a reason, and it's not
to light up the dashboard and make it look pretty. they are not
meant to stay on.

This dealership had plenty of excellent pre-owned vehicles to choose from in my $9k to 12k price range. I drove 50 miles to visit this dealer because of all the great cars they had listed online. Now the problems: They were understaffed. There were two sales people on staff at the time I was there (1pm on Friday). There were constantly about 5 customers waiting for help at any given time during the 2 hours I spent here. They are in "downtown" Farmington and have purchased parking lots all over their side of the area of downtown. These lots are all pretty close together, but because they are so small, some of them are 3 blocks away from the main office. The sales people kept leaving me so they could deal with other customers that showed up after I did. The car I was most interested in test driving had a dead battery and was boxed in the center of one of there parking lots by several other cars for sale. The sales person had just handed me the keys and said "go check it out" and moved on to another customer. When I returned to tell him They didn't offer to jump the battery and move the cars out of the way so that I could test drive it. They could have easily sold me a car that day, but I just walked away and drove the 50 miles back home. It is a shame that this place had such a great inventory but yet had terrible customer service. Plus they were in no way prepared to deal with winter conditions. In Minnesota? Come on!!
