All around awful experience. They don’t want to sell cars if they have to work. I am in R.I. and they are in Massachusetts seeing they would have to do an interstate sale they weren’t interested. I told them I was pre-approved and ready to purchase. They informed me because of covid they can’t sell to people in R.I. unless I come with cash for the entire deal. I spoke to a few other Massachusetts dealers and they never heard of such a thing. Awful situation

Response from current dealership:
While we have sold many vehicles in RI for many many years, under the current covid circumstances we have had to suspend any sales to RI and CT that require us to send personnel to those states as the DMVs are not being responsive to outer state dealerships and our personnel are not comfortable in such transactions. We are sorry you were not able to purchase the vehicle you saw on our website but do not feel your review is reflective of the current situation nor relevant to the measures we have in place to maintain the safety and security of our personnel.

Sales person told me the price of the vehicle was 24,999 so he could discount it to 23,999 after we talked. The price was already on CarGurus at 23,999. Then I told him that it had been at the dealer for a while and he said just over a month but on CarGurus it was listed at 205 days. They just felt dishonest.
The man I spoke with over the phone was very nice and took a $500 deposit on the vehicle before we purchased. Then when I went to buy the vehicle they sold it to someone else- even though I was guaranteed that would not happen. Now I lost the truck I wanted and have to wait indefinitely to get my deposit back. A disappointing and incompetent experience.

Great dealer and helpful
met with mark rebidue. he was personable and understanding of my budget.
the 2011 prius had just been brought around to the service area to begin fluid
changes etc. mark immediately retrieved the prius from service preparation
area before the work could begin. my visit to durand was very good.

Not much help. Contacted, but they let the truck leave the lot with another buyer well before I could have driven there to even see it (Would have put down a "deposit" via the phone (Like they let the out of state "buyer" do), but never once did they suggest THAT. I won't bother with them again. What a shame!

Response from current dealership:
The vehicle he was interested in had been sold pending financing the night before the customer contacted the dealership. We explained that it was currently sold but if the deal happened to fall through he would be contacted. If he had contacted us a day earlier we would have been happy to take a deposit from him to hold the vehicle. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Dealer responded in a timely professional manner.
Didn't purchase the vehicle. We were off by a little . Wanted new
tires on the price they quoted, dealer said no. No further discussion.
Kind of surprising given the number of chevy suburbans on the used
market presently.

Dealer responded right away but when I got there to see the car it was
dirty. When I commented on that the salesperson said..."well, if you want
to wait we can wash it" in a somewhat sarcastic tone. That was the way
we were treated throughout our time there. No real effort to please. I
bought my car at Baker where they were friendly and went out of their
way to answer questions and accommodate my needs. I think if the
dealership is not anxious to p,ease when I'm spending money, how will
they be when I have a problem?
