They sold the car from under me after I put the hold deposit and did a full credit app. Then gone tell me we can look at other options and just kept changing their stories on what was going on with the car.

They were good about responding. But just like every car dealership in Kansas City area our conversation lasted about 30 seconds. We work with all types of credit. And then it's different when they run the report with 30 lenders each one putting a inquiry on your score. 600 isn't too terribly bad for a score. They even wanted 3,000.00 down on a 11,000.00 vehicle. I wish I had the money to turn down sales like they do. I can't believe it.

Found a car I loved on CarGurus. Dealership messaged me once telling me that the vehicle was going through their check in process and they would let me know when the vehicle would be ready to test. Jeff was great. I waited *patiently* as the car went through trade in inspection. Jeff updated me every day and answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly. Saturday, he contacted me as soon as it was ready. The process was easy. I didnt feel pressured which help so much as i had my kiddos with me. The shop was great and had a play area. Everyone there was so helpful in making us comfortable for time we were there. Jeff and his team even helped me get a better financing deal than I had from my creditor. He has also answered any question ive had since ive left. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Good price on the car but refused to sell unless you used their own financing. Emailed with salesman. Had already been pre approved to use my own financing. Tried to add
$1000 for not using their financing. I agreed as I understand they were planning to make money there and the dealership still refused to sell me the vehicle even though I was
paying more than asking price. Finance director finally admitted they are a small family business and close to failing. I can see why with horrible business tactics.

I drove 56 miles to look at a truck, with an appt. As soon as I got there they acted like they weren’t really wanting me to buy it as they had another dealer who had driven 3 hours and had already told them he wanted it. Then low balled a bid on my truck, offered me less than half of its value

Very nice facilities. Big selection of good looking cars. Purchased a VW Passat. Phil was new to the dealership but did an good job even though he was a little evasive on a couple of questions. Everyone was friendly and no high pressure! I would buy from them again.

Finally someone responded to me after I was texting a salesman at the dealership who acted as if he didnt know what I was talking about near the end of our convo when I asked him specific things related to the particular vehicle I was interested in, like for instance the KBB I did online to see how much my trade in was worth to make sure the dealership had gotten that info since no one got back on it to let me know. I feel if a dealership is trying to gain business, they need to be on point an a bit more persistent with following up with potential buyers just not overly do their job as this could come across as pushy. But finally after that mishap, someone took care of my needs. I have yet to get a call back stating whether or not I been approved since it's been almost two weeks since I applied and no reply.

I tried contacting them multiple times and they told me they just didn’t have the staffing needed right now but they didn’t tell me that until I called them about two weeks later. It’s almost like they don’t care about their customers or trying to sell cars!

I was told the vehicle I was interested in wouldn’t be ready til next week and they would call when it was.
I took cash out of the bank for it.
I got a response a few days later saying that someone bought that particular vehicle.
I then inquired on a couple more I had interest in and received no response whatsoever!?
Terrible business practice! Fact!
They do have a good selection of cars though:!

Anyway, if this in fact occurred we surely apologize you missed out on a vehicle you were interested in from our inventory. If you would have put a deposit down to hold a vehicle, it would have been yours until you had an opportunity to inspect and or pay for the vehicle by cash or finance.
Def wouldn’t advise anyone to use these guys, tried to give me a horrible interest rate through their bank, I got a rate literally 4.24% better. They didn’t want to sell me the truck when I didn’t finance through them, the salesman was a punk as well. Worked out for me way better bc I found a 2018 with all the same options for a 1000$ more. I would Avoid them at all cost. All cost literally, and figuratively.

The car had a couple of warning lights on when I test drove it and two car seats in the back
seat.That really took away from the overall experience of the drive. Very professional
although I felt I was lowballed on my trade in before it was actually seen. The overall
experience was no different from most sales experience I've had with purchasing a car.

They responded to my inquiry promptly- this vehicle was not available but they had another Explorer but it was over priced. They ended up lowering it for the amount my credit union said I should ask for - but I had already bought another vehicle somewhere else.
But they did communicate and the salesman was accommodating to my work schedule.

What can I say, well for starters They answered the request about the car in a timely manner, Theres no pressure at the lot, friendly staff and they made it happen and got me in new ride.

It was pretty average car buying experience. We wanted the car they sold us the car. They haven't kept to their word much after the sale. They said they would so a couple of things obviously pertaining to the vehicle and didn't. I just figure when the manager specifically comes out to tell you they pride themselves on customer service after the sale you expect their promises to be kept.

The guys at Car City are very helpful and straight forward with you. The vehicles they have are of high quality and well beat any price you can find. Then I drove 8 hours to Kansas because I am from Tennessee. Dealer knew I was coming in and had a check ready for them. As soon as I got to Kansas I get a message that the car has been sold. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and will bash them any chance I get.
