The salesman said I couldn’t put as much money down as I wanted, for my down payment.
I’ve never heard of this and just assumed he wanted a higher margin from larger finance loan. He said that I literally couldn’t do it, because I was buying out of state, and made me feel stupid for asking. Short story long, I did do it at the next place I called. I could see this trick working on the elderly or the disabled though, so proceed with caution.
