He was nice but didn't even try to help. He automatically told me I would not approve. The asking price for deposit was ridiculous.

Getting an auto loan has to meet certain criteria, most likely you did not meet one or more of those requirements therefore the sales person did not want to waste your time by running another hit on your credit.
