Amko has the worst communication. The car was originally on Car Guru's for $12,950. They marked it up when I sat down to talk numbers and raised the price on their website. I was only allowed to drive the vehicle around the block--literally. I asked for a new steering wheel and the owner denied it but the salesman said I would get it. When picking up the vehicle the salesman and the service manager both told me that it would be replaced and to call and make an appointment for the following week. I did that and called the day prior to see if I could drop off the vehicle that night due to work and it was then said that they will not be replacing it. I canceled the appointment the following AM because I could not make it. I asked to reschedule and they are only open weekdays. It was at this point where it was communicated to me that it was in a different location. So I would've showed up at the wrong place and wasted PTO time to handle this. They are very shady with horrible communication
Only referencing my experience, I shopped between their 2 locations. Neither had the vehicles on the lot that the website or inventory showed were there. The condition of the vehicles, some were good to ok but a lot of them had cosmetic issues. The last dealership had trucks on the lot for sale that had not even been cleared to leave the lot for purchase. I was offered a rental while they put it in the shop but who wants to do that. Staff was friendly at both, the Laurel location keep flip flopping on the rate and even had me waiting for a call on a vehicle they claimed to have me approved for only to find out it was being delivered from the auction and hadn’t been through inspection or anything yet. Just a lot of run around and time wasted. If I had to give a 1-10 rating they would be about 5! Sure not every experience is like this but this was mine.
They have a 3400 dollar fee in addition to sale price of vehicle. Which is basically a way to get around the maximum amount dealers are allowed to charge consumers. Someone should contact the DMV and report them. They put cars online that they don’t have then when you get there they say there sold. Online they said they had 11 Cadillac Escalades I even called before making a trip from South Carolina to Maryland. When I got there they only had 2 and all the others had been sold. I call two days prior. I owned a used car lot years ago. The so called 3400 dollar fee is an illegal doc fee. I looked up Maryland Law and the max dealers can charge for a Doc fee is 800 dollars. I was told the 3400 hundred dollar fee attached to every purchase was for making sure the car was good to go when I asked the salesman shouldn’t you do all that anyway before you sale the car and even when someone purchase the vehicle it’s as as correct unless customer purchase a warranty! Trust me stay away from here!

The car that I came to look at p90d they didn’t even have at the lot. They don’t even know that there are two vehicles of different specs listed on their website tha looks identical.
My fiance and I (co-signer) are from out of state and started the online application process on cargurus for a vehicle that she really REALLY wanted at the laurel location on Wednesday. We were immediately contacted and worked with the sales team and finance manager. The vehicle had to be looked at because the engine light was on so we were told it would be fixed and ready that following Monday. We both had to fill out applications AGAIN through them and we were told they would combine them for us as well as our pay stubs, ID info etc on Thursday and we got all that done that morning. We were told we would hear something back by noon on Friday. We never got a call so my fiance called them because we both received a credit inquiry on Friday so we thought that the process was still in play. The car that we had already been applying for days earlier had ended up being ripped from right underneath us and “transported and sold” at the other location the same day while we were working deal

They never put me through finance as promised . Telling me to come and pick up the vehicle in the morning. Meanwhile they sent me a text at eleven pm saying the car was sold.
i was told the price car gurus posted is not a real price and they were 5K more than advertised the car had been on the site for more than100 days. plenty of time to put a correct price on the vehicle. i was prepared to make a cash purchase and was completed misled. apparently they said the cargus misrepresented the car not them.. very shady and now i won't even consider the dealership. they have the entire inventory on car gurus so what does that even look like trying to make a honest purchase.. BEWARE
After asking so many times was the truck available I get to the dealership and there is no truck. Then I was told it had been scratched so it’s at the shop getting touched up. They said they would bring it back so I can see it and test drive, I waited 45 min then was told they sent it to Laurel. REALLY!!!!!!!!!!

Called in advanced specifically to see if this car was available. Not only did Jamel (the representative confirm
that I spoke with on the phone) tell me the car was there, I got his contact information and spoke to him
directly after I arrived. After wasting my time driving there he says he didn't know they didn't have the car. Not
that they sold it before I got there, they simply never had it! He didn't think to check to see if the car was there
or not. Then says they don't have any car in that range and doesn't want to "waste my time" after having me
drive all that way. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The advertised one price when we got there. The actual price was like $5,000 greater than what they advertised so I find they're advertising and pricing. Very misleading and dishonest. I will never do business with them again
I was very unhappy with my experience there. I called ahead to make sure the vehicle was
there and ready to test drive. I was assured the vehicle was ready. When I arrived, someone
other than my initial contact person came to me and described a $3K plus added warranty
charge to each purchase. Then I had to wait for the car to be move from being wedged behind
and between several other cars. Here is the kicker, it was the wrong car. The wrong car was
dirty, a different color, smelled of cigarettes, and had a used cigarette in the back seat. I
declined to test drive or even sit on the cigarette car. Then I was told the car I wanted was
probably at a different dealer. (Probably? Seriously?) Perhaps your experience was better
than mine. I think my 2-stars were generous.
This is not the truck that’s in the picture . The sellers tried to raise the price, and there is some interior damage. Exterior damage also with paint and It don’t drive that great when I took it for a test drive., it’s an auction vehicle from an accident, and they couldn’t provide me with the repair orders.
If you going in thinking this is the truck think again

This dealership is awful. They called me once and never called back. I wanted to set up a time to test drive the car and Tanner never called
me back. I called again and asked about the car being delivered and his answer was..."Yeah, where you at" (his exact words). I gave him my
location and he said he would call me back the next day. He never called me back. No follow up at all. My overall experience with this
dealership gets ONE STAR if that!

Dealer charges 5k plus fees on top of the listed price which is extremely misleading. Even when cash is offered. Don’t waste time unless you are planning to pay at list $7-$8k over listed price in fees.

Went to view a 2017 Chevy Tahoe. 1st when I walked into the Laurel location the man tried to show me other cars then what I
came for. 2nd we get into the vehicle and the passenger window won't go down, there is a crack/damage to the rear lift gate
and the center console doesn't open. We were told "all of those things get fixed after you buy it, here we don't fix it before" 3rd
the front windshield had just been replaced and still had the stickers on it so there was damage that we didn't know about.
Lastly as we're wrapping up I get told that this $24,395 truck is actually $28k due to dealer mark up and they don't always take
that off. The paperwork had us at $31,000 and I promise you I won't be back

I am really pleased with my experience at AMKO AUTO, the sales guy marquis took his time with me and even showed me other vehicles that
i might have like and still put me in the car i actually wanted
The customer service was horrible. There were so many cars on the lot with hardly anywhere to park. I checked out a couple of vehicles and one of the Maserati’s dashboards was literally stapled on across the entire dashboard. Then they mentioned that they had a guy that could fix it. Excuse me, what!? I went to another vehicle and it wasn't detailed on the inside the seats were worn but i thought I’d test-drive the vehicle. They couldn’t figure out how to get the vehicle out with all the other cars around it. While I was waiting, a gentleman walked in to complain about a car that he just purchased. After overhearing this conversation I thought it would be best to shop elsewhere. I left without test-driving the vehicle.

I wish I could give zero stars. I was already approved for this car with a down payment agreement of 3000, after waiting about 20 minutes sales person John said I needed to put down 7000. I said no and left, how is it possible to have been approved and get to the dealership and told you can get this vehicle with an additional 4000. Boy bye! Yeah stay far far away from this dealership!
I called the dealership and spoke to “John” to let him know I was interested in a particular vehicle. I noticed the car wasn’t on the site anymore. He claimed that the car was still available. I told him I was coming from out of state (4hr) ride one way. I get there and ask for him and he’s very unprofessional. Doesn’t greet a potential client and doesn’t even recall his conversation with me. Advised him of the car I called about and it was like ( A deer in headlights ). Needless to say, the car was sold days ago. I was livid, because I asked and he confirmed it was still available. I mentioned that I was coming from another state. Basically, my time and money was wasted due to a 8 hour round trip for absolutely nothing. Maybe John thought I could find something else but give me or the customer that option! The mgr stepped in to try and make things right by looking for similar options but by that time, I was very Blown from the ordeal. No apology from John, not surprised!

This place is not a place you want to get your vehicle if you want professional and serious
business. I emailed them with a vehicle I was very interested in, I asked several questions e.g.
is the vehicle available, what is the out-the-door price, any other fees aside from tax/ license/
dealer fees, etc. They responded with their box email response of "hey! thank you for your
interest, when can you come by for a test drive", etc., and completely ignoring my questions.
Those questions I asked were based on reviews I read from those who have experienced a
run around with this joke for a dealership. Ask the questions, if they avoid to answer it, steer
away, 10 out of 10 the vehicle you are interested in is no longer available, or worse, was never
available to begin with. Don't waste your time driving to this dealership, if you feel adventurous
and want to check it out for yourself, make sure you document everything, have that phone
recording at all times, and write down names.

Absolutely the worst experience I have had. I contacted their salesperson for over 2 weeks… and after getting all the information, I flew to Maryland from Florida to see the vehicle. Made an appointment and even confirmed with the salesperson 20 min before arrival. Come to find out that the salesperson was from a remote call center… there was no car… it failed inspection, they had no idea I was coming… and I left with an “I’m sorry”. I even asked for a bottle of water and was told that they were out of water….. not a good situation or dealership.

I really don’t like to do reviews or trust them but I had to do this because it was so terrible! I actually read the other reviews and therefore had some awareness. Please, please, please do not trust this dealership! I made appointment arrived and the salesperson began to ask me basic questions and finally asked me if I wanted to look at other cars. I laughed and got extremely irate for wasting my time and simply walked out and left. I am begging you to not TRUST this dealership!!!
Asked them to run financing ahead of time told they were approving everyone just come in.
When I get there the car I was looking at wasn't at the lot and wouldn't be for 4 days. They
added over 4K to the price. After telling me I would need 2K down, they told me i needed 6K
down. I dove nearly 2 hours to get this car, told it was there, told to bring 2K. None of this was
true
Waited for a call back for 4 days not counting Saturday would be 5 days.
Ridiculously bad customer service like I have never seen before. I texted back and forth with agent and they ended up saying that they have my info and I should call them even though I’m a customer and I politely asked to talk to their manager to discuss purchase and etc. I need up calling them to talk to their manager about this and had to wait 15 minutes on hold.
I also was told my first call/conversation that delivery for out of state buyer would be free and included in the price of the car, however, before waiting for 15 minutes on hold their representative said that the car price is actually $1000 higher and there is extra charge for delivery for out of state buyer.
I called the dealership and they were trying to reach me. I requested
more information and other detailed photos, at no time did I receive
either. Days later I got the email that the car had been sold. I could
have purchased the vehicle over the phone if info had been relayed to
me immediately. Iâm not a âhappy customerâ.

Today I was about to finance a great car with great mileage, and it happened to be my first choice. This was only possible through Am-Ko Auto Inc. Specifically Am-Ko Auto in Waldorf Md. Luis contacted me the next day i requested information. Then when I called he knew just what I needed to know. He then asked when i’d be able to see the car, which i found helpful considering that I really wanted to see this vehicle.
When I came In a few days later, Luis and his managers where very helpful and kept it real with me which is great... they gave me a real price and with expected fees it worked out perfectly. If you’re looking for your dream car and don’t think it’s possible... Think again and do yourself a favor, stop by Am-Ko Auto.

Worst dealership in Maryland. They waste your time. This camaro the engine over heats don’t even attempt to buy it.
Called and inquired about a 2014 mustang premium. Asked if I could test drive before I made the ride there. Was told yes. Got there and a sales person showed me the vehicle. He told me it was smart to finance. I told him if I liked the car I would pay cash. I told him I wanted to test drive. He proceeded to continue to tell me about financing options and asked how I wanted to pay. I realized he didn’t want me to test drive the car and thanked him for his time and left. Waste of a commute and time. The guy I spoke to on the phone was very helpful, however.

I like their integrity. The price you see is the price you get when you arrive. Ali was amazing, very
knowledgeable and not too pushy with selling. I got an s 550 Mercedes Benz from them and i love the
car; it's clean and rides smooth. Took it to a Mercedes Benz dealership just to check it out and they told
me its a good buy. Also, 4 days after i had questions about the car and Sean the manager responded
promptly to my questions. They are definitely not just about the sales. I will do business with them
again.

I contacted the dealership on Thursday 5/21/2020 and asked about seeing a 2009 Benz 63amg and was told it was in the shop for an oil change and would be back on the dealership lot by the end of the day so I made an appointment for Saturday at 1pm. On Saturday I call twice to confirm that the car was available and a representative told me that it was. I also told him I would be there at 4pm instead of 1pm and he told me that was fine. I drove 11/2 hrs to the dealership only to find out the car was not available and never came back from the repair shop. The dealership manager (Asian male) who’s name I don’t recall quickly apologized and said he would call me as soon as the car was ready and he anticipated it would be ready by Tuesday morning (5/26/2020). It is now Friday 5/29/2020 and I have not received a call back from AM-KO AUTO. Also while there I met a gentleman who drove from NYC to pick up a 2013 Mercedes Ben S550 he purchased only to find that the wheels had been switched on it

Called back within the next day. Unfortunately I could not come that day due to the virus outbreak. Wish I came in because they sold the unit already.
A bait you in and then change the price on you type of
dealership. Had pre approved funding already in place
and made that clear, showed up at the dealership to
finalize the deal. Was then told they could not sell me
the car at the agreed upon price because of hidden
extremely high dealership fees. Waited for 2.5 hours at
their dealership thought they were trying to work the
numbers to match what we initially agreed on
discovered they were running my credit the whole time
within their banking network.Their goal is to run your
credit with a bunch of banks and to get you committed
to liking the vehicle enough to justify a higher price point
through ridiculous dealership fees. Explains why so
many cars on their lot. A total waste of time, stay away
don't waste your time. Ended up buying a vehicle from
another dealership and everything went smooth as it
should be when doing agreed upon pre approved bank
deal.

for a car within a specific price range and their
car pops up but after the fees added in by the
dealership makes the car well out of the specific
price range. It is very misleading. The fees they
add increase the price of the car by over $2000
which is misleading.

Do no go to this dealership!! I drove an hour and 30 mins to see a car just for them to say it was at their other location when it was listed on THEIR website. To make matters worse, I talked to a sales man the day before asking to come and visit it and he was like “yeah come on through etc etc” knowing the car wasn’t even there.
Nice people, but dealer definitely tried to slip a few undesirable items
about the car by me. Not completely transparent. He lied about stuff
clearly visible on the Carfax....but at least he let me see the Carfax.

We drove 2 hours to get to AMKO of Waldorf.....we had to wait for another 2 hours just to see the truck.....it wasn't at the dealer....they said they were putting new tires on it......when we finally saw the truck.....the tires were not new, and the truck was full of scratches...and dirty. We drove home without buying the truck. The whole experience was awful.

After reading the reviews of other people made me feel a little skeptical
about this dealership, but this is car that i have been looking for so i made
contact with them. when i sent them an inquiry about this car, Mr. Charley
Davis responded to me within 5 minutes. i had a few questions about the
car and asked them if it had any accidents or prior history before i made a
trip. he was upfront and told me about the car and told me that he would
honor the price advertised. so i made an appointment with them on
saturday and made it there by noon, but i was a little scared going there
after reading everyones reviews. When i got there i was greeted by one of
the sales staff who was very professional, and i asked him if charly davis
was there. He then took me to mr. Davis and i must say what a nice
gentleman, man of god and honest businessman. He took me to the car
and i must say i love everything about this car. i went on a test drive and
that car drove like a dream. knowing my credit i went on with the process
and gave them a chance to get me approved for the car i wanted. today i
am driving my car and i must say people go the extra mile and see them
for yourselves. They work with people and the have over 200 cars on the
lot ready. i love my car and thank you Mr.Charlie Davis and thank you
AMKO AUTO you guys are the best.

Had a terrible highly unprofessional experience when I went in. I had an appointment almost a week in advance on a car that was on the page for more than 4 months, drove 2hrs to get there and they sold the car 30 minutes before I walked in. I was on time for my appointment sales lady name Avonna talked to me right before I drove out but wasn’t at the dealership when I showed up. Stayed on her “lunch break” for a hour plus. The manager tried to sell me another car that wasn’t in the same price range and even then the “owner” of the car took it before my test drive. Honestly would not recommend to anybody.

Was told going there I was pre approved. After
driving two hours and waiting two hours was told
was not approved for total of vehicle not a big
deal. Was told they would be in touch in a week.
Waited almost a week and a half tried calling and
talking to Parker was told he would call me back
in 10-30 minutes tried 4 different times and never
heard back!!! Been 3 weeks and still no response.
A lot of promises made and non were delivered.
Very disappointed!!!!

This dealership is a joke these people initially were straight forward with pre approving me for a vehicle that on cargurus is listed for $32,977. I was planning on picking up the car in 7 days driving there would take me 3hrs from NY to MD. First I was in contact with someone named Dana. Okay if you are reading this and speak to her just a heads up she is just an employee don't continue your conversation just ask to speak to one of the many random employees/managers they have on staff. Dana ran my credit to pre approve me for my car loan and I was approved ,all I needed to do was to put money down so they could hold the vehicle until I came down to start negotiating prices and final sale of the vehicle not knowing she wasn't a sales representative she could not do any negotiating. Which she told me the following day so I asked to speak to a manager in which she transferred me over to someone name Rick who was supposed to proceed with my sale instead he asked me for yet again more information which I wondered why because I was already pre approved. Keep in mind all of my information was given to Dana the clerk as far as pay stubs ,social, email job address etc. He then proceeds to inform me he needs to do more information on his end and tells me he needs to call me back after 20min. Guess my business wasn't important enough because I had to eventually call back after 1 he. Within the time frame The fake manager Rick ran my credit score another time without my permission and when I decided to call them back because I was notified by the company that was going to approve me I asked Rick why did the dealership run my credit again he claimed to have no knowledge of this but the company said the hard inquiry came from that dealership. He puts me on a 40min hold again claiming he was going to get another manager involved and never returned to the phone line. I called back 6 times all speaking to different sales representatives all saying that the managers are busy making other sales. I asked if my business was worth taking care of at all at this point because I've been hung up on l, put on hold time and time again for more than an hour. To the point where I needed to ask for the names of the individuals I was speaking to because of how many times they were putting me on hold and lying about management. Until finally someone by the name of Barry AMKO, yes (The same name as the company) spoke with me and I explained to him everything that I have been dealing with and how do I move forward with this buying process. low and behold within the conversation he informs me another manager is actually working on my loan low and behold no call, no email, no text back. That was the last straw to be honest avoid this dealership if you are a customer ready to spend over $32,000 for a car and they treat you like this they do not deserve to still be in business. Con artists ran my credit twice without having my concent unacceptable

I sent an email to this dealership expressing concern over all the poor reviews
they had received. They responded, completely, ignoring my concerns, and
just told me I could test drive their vehicle. They never attempted to address

Dana seemed nice enough over the phone and contacted me twice to ensure the car was there waiting for me and that she looked forward to seeing me on Friday. I explained that I had a three hour drive to get there and needed updates to ensure the car 2014 Mustang would still be there on Friday. On Thursday she said it would be. I arrived shortly before noon on Friday and was met by a man named Kelly who said Dana was out sick and the car was gone. He said Dana doesn't have anything to do with sales and that u shouldn't have been dealing with her. I strongly recommend NOT dealing with this dealership. The staff outside was also rude and refused to move over and let my girlfriend park to get out of other people's way. So glad the car was gone. It's obvious to me I would never want to do business at AMKO.

Car was a very poor condition . For the asking price sales person wasn't willing to negotiate on price at all . For the quality of the car and condition of the vehicle . The vehicle was priced at perfect condition vehicle was in very poor condition scratches dents chipping paint that had been touched up , rust, missing floor mats and not all the original parts on the car The car had also been repainted. On one side only . When I arrived at dealership I stood there for at least 15 minutes before I was asked if I needed help salesman that contacted me wasn't there that time I had scheduled to arrive for meeting salesman. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone .

Called AMKO on Thursday asked if they had the blue corvette listed available. It was, scheduled to look at the corvette on Saturday. Drove from the Philadelphia area 120miles to AMKO to find the car was not available to see. It was in a shop for repairs. The shop was closed and I was unable to view the car.They called me in the morning to verify I was coming. So why didn't they notify me the car was not available to see. I spend a significant amount of money in tolls and gas plus wasted five hours of my day for nothing. Don't buy a car there. I should have listened to the other posts here. Trust me they suck very unprofessional and the bad experiences described here are accurate. Don't waste your time there are far better dealer ships that can put you in the car you're looking for. The absolute worse experience ever. BEWARE of AMKO!

They seemed to have been a little unorganized, which resulted in my first trip
there a waste of my time. I needlessly lost time from work. I decided to give
them another try the following day, in spite of the many negative reviews I
read online of their business practices. The condition of the vehicle I
inquired about was misrepresented. I was told that the car was perfect, it
was in significantly rougher condition than described. One needs to be
particularly savvy and shrewd in dealing with this dealership.

At first I got response from 3 people all the information
they wanted I sent it to them. I wanted to go down to
see the car I was interested in today. But I text the sales
man I was dealing with but never got a response. It
would take me about 3 hrs to get there. Also the pic of
the car had nice wheels on it and the pic the sales man
sent me had something different. Was told I would have
to pay extra for it. All the reviews I read was bad about
them. But gave them a chance. But it looks like it's true
about them. The cars people want is not there. I guess
they just want u to come there and buy something u
don't want. Don't was ure time with them. Cuz they will

Just surprised that 2 weeks after being sold, the car is still listed. I asked
about it and was told it was there and available. So took off at lunch, pulled
into the lot and was told they sold it a week earlier. Went back to work and
called the person and was told that it was there. I told him what had just
happened. Much later I did get an email that it had indeed been sold, Now,
a week after that, it is sill listed. I only wish it was.

I called about the truck 2008 LTZ Tahoe black the manager told me that it was shining and ready to go right out front and when I got there he was standing in the door he told his assistant to go get the keys so we can look at the truck assistant came back told me that the truck was not there I don't understand why he had me to come all the way there and the truck wasn't in the parking lot not honest will not do business with this car lot ever

What I thought was going to be a great experience turned out to be a bit overwhelming. The vehicles are very nice and you will be cared for BUT READ THE FINE PRINT and do not believe it when they say all prices are negotiable. I must of had SUCKER written all over my face - they would not budge and added 1800 to the price along with giving below auction price for my trade in. If I had not been in a crunch to get a truck like the one they were selling I would have told them to forget it. The truck is nice but respect for me and the good for both was never a part of the experience

The dealers and salesman seemed very dishonest and shiesty. It's marked here as 15,9 but when I got there it was 19,000. Tricksters
very friendly staff, the vehicle was available and prepared for me to look at.
my salesperson was very knowledgable about the car, i did not know how to
work the navigation he took his time and showed me how to work it. at first i
was very skeptical of this dealer because of the other review but i wanted to
see for myself. they took care of me and i think people should go there and
