How much does the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ cost?

Prices have softened 10.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 220 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ earns an expert rating of 7.8/10.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Cadillac positions this as its entry-level electric SUV, so you get a more accessible way into the brand’s EV lineup without moving up to a larger, pricier model. The upside is clear in the combination of stylish design, strong range, and luxury-brand value. The trade-offs are just as clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, forward visibility is limited, and torque steer can make it feel less composed than its all-wheel-drive hardware suggests.

With 30.0% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ reliable?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is presented as a new entry-level EV with standard all-wheel drive and a battery-backed powertrain that fits Cadillac’s luxury-EV strategy. The expert evaluation also points to a comfortable ride, minimal cabin noise, and a powertrain that delivers more than enough output for the vehicle’s size.

Cadillac’s cost-effectiveness notes also point to a battery pack warranty that covers the battery and related components for eight years or 100,000 miles, which is a useful ownership cushion for a used-EV buyer.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is making sure the battery and charging system have been treated well, since EV health matters more than traditional wear items alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings with similar prices. Focus on overall condition, charging behavior, and whether the vehicle has been used in a way that suggests heavy DC fast charging or inconsistent care.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup is split into Luxury and Sport versions, with two levels for each. Both styles share similar equipment levels, but the Luxury models use a lighter wheel finish while the Sport models get a darker finish and more mesh-like grille trim. The base setup already includes 20-inch wheels, and the higher trims add features such as surround-view cameras and ventilated front seats.
• Powertrain: You get a standard dual-motor all-wheel drive setup with 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. The battery pack is 85 kilowatt-hours, and the setup is tuned more for smooth premium driving than for outright speed.
• Safety package: Super Cruise is standard, along with forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, a rear-seat reminder, the vibrating Safety Alert Seat, and teen driver monitoring.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 33-inch curved display, and Cadillac says the resolution is equivalent to 9K. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available, but you do get Google Built-in apps, Google Maps, and Google Assistant.
• Range & charging: The EPA-estimated range is 302 miles. Cadillac says DC fast charging can recover 79 miles in 10 minutes, and the standard onboard charger is 11.5 kW. An optional 19.2-kW charger is available, and the included charge cord can plug into household outlets for slower charging.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, confirm how the car has been charged, and review whether most charging happened at home or through DC fast charging. You should also verify how much of the battery warranty remains so you know what protection you still have.

Which 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Sport 1, Sport 2.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury 1: This is the entry point, and it already gives you the core appeal of the OPTIQ: standard AWD, Super Cruise, strong range, and the upscale cabin presentation. If you want the best-value way into the lineup, this is the trim to start with.
• Luxury 2: This is the trim to target if you want the most compelling balance of equipment and price, since it adds features such as surround-view cameras and ventilated front seats without moving you to the top of the range.
• Sport 1: Choose this if you prefer the darker exterior styling and want the same basic equipment set in a more aggressive-looking package.
• Sport 2: This is the most expensive version, so it makes the most sense if you specifically want the Sport look and are willing to pay more for it.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, including Super Cruise and the other driver-assistance features listed above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you have some leverage if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 220 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,842, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ's resale value?

The current average of $42,089 sits slightly below last year's $47,009.

That price movement suggests the OPTIQ has already moved into a more buyer-friendly zone than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you’re starting from a lower used-price base than last year’s shoppers did.

For a future seller, that means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. A clean history and strong battery health should matter a lot when it’s time to trade or sell.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ safe?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ’s crash-test ratings were not available at press time.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Super Cruise is the headline safety and driver-assistance feature, and it comes standard. Other standard features include forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, a rear-seat reminder, the vibrating Safety Alert Seat, and teen driver monitoring.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.47% compared with last year.
• The 2025 stands out as Cadillac’s new entry-level EV, with strong value, impressive range, and standard Super Cruise.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, range, and standard equipment, the 2025 is the one to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, shop aggressively for a lower-mileage example near the bottom of the year-round range and prioritize condition over trim prestige.
