How much does the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ cost?

There are 203 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ earns an expert rating of 7.83/10.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

It stands out as Cadillac’s new entry-level electric vehicle, giving you a cheaper way into the brand’s EV lineup while still aiming for the style and presence you expect from a Cadillac. The upside is clear: stylish design, impressive electric range, and strong value for money. The trade-offs are just as clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, forward visibility is limited, and torque steer can make it feel less composed than its all-wheel-drive hardware suggests.

With 34.0% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ reliable?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is positioned as a new entry-level EV with standard all-wheel drive and a battery pack backed by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty, which helps reduce some of the usual early-ownership anxiety around a new electric model.

Its standard dual-motor setup and GM-based EV architecture suggest a conventional, mainstream approach rather than a complicated one, and the expert notes also point to a comfortable ride and minimal cabin noise. The performance write-up adds that the regenerative braking setup is straightforward and easy to use, which is another sign that the vehicle is designed to be approachable in daily driving.

Cadillac also includes the first scheduled maintenance visit as part of the ownership experience, which is a nice perk for a used-EV buyer to keep in mind.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical complexity and more about making sure the battery, charging behavior, and software-related features have been working as intended over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where charging habits and battery condition matter. Focus on whether the car has been used mostly for home charging or frequent DC fast charging, and make sure the battery and charging equipment behave normally during a test drive and charge session. Because this is a newer model, you should also confirm that all software features and driver-assistance systems operate correctly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup is split into Luxury and Sport versions, with two levels for each. The Luxury models emphasize a lighter wheel finish, while the Sport models use a darker finish and more mesh-like grille trim. The base trim is the one most likely to leave out some convenience features, while the higher trim adds items such as surround-view cameras and ventilated front seats.
• Powertrain: You get a standard dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. The setup is strong on paper, but the expert notes mention torque steer and a less composed feel than you might expect from AWD.
• Safety package: Super Cruise is standard, along with forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, and a rear-seat reminder. Cadillac’s vibrating Safety Alert Seat and teen driver monitoring system are also included.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 33-inch curved display, and Cadillac says the resolution is equivalent to 9K. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available, but Google Built-in is standard, and a head-up display is available.
• Range & charging: The 85-kWh battery pack is rated for 302 miles of range. DC fast charging peaks at 150 kilowatts, and Cadillac says you can recover 79 miles in 10 minutes. The standard onboard charger is 11.5 kW, and an optional 19.2-kW charger is available.
• Battery health: Check the battery state of health, confirm normal charging speeds, and review how the car has been charged over time. Home charging is generally easier on the battery than repeated DC fast charging, so it’s worth asking how the vehicle was used. You should also verify how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Sport 1, Sport 2.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury 1: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core OPTIQ experience with standard AWD, Super Cruise, the 33-inch display, and the 302-mile range. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and are comfortable skipping some convenience upgrades.
• Luxury 2: This is the best-value trim because it adds useful upgrades such as surround-view cameras and ventilated front seats without changing the OPTIQ’s core formula. If you want the most complete version of the car without moving to the top of the range, this is the one to target.
• Sport 1: Choose this if you prefer the darker exterior styling and want the same basic equipment set in a more aggressive-looking package. It’s more about appearance than a major equipment jump.
• Sport 2: This is the top trim in the Sport lineup, pairing the Sport styling with the added equipment found higher up the range. It suits you if you want the most fully equipped version and prefer the Sport look.

Super Cruise is standard across the lineup, so you don’t need to move up a trim just to get Cadillac’s hands-free highway driving system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 203 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 97.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,820, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ's resale value?

The current average of $41,820 sits slightly below last year's $48,269.

That drop suggests the market has already moved lower on this model year, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend means you should expect resale values to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how much of the battery warranty remains.

Because the OPTIQ is still a newer EV, well-kept examples with clean history and strong remaining warranty coverage should hold up better than cars with questionable charging habits or visible wear. If you buy smart now, you’ll be in a better position to protect your value later.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ safe?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ does not have crash-test ratings available yet from IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Super Cruise is the headline safety and driver-assistance feature, and it comes standard. Other standard features include forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, a rear-seat reminder, Cadillac’s vibrating Safety Alert Seat, and GM’s teen driver monitoring system.

The main caveat is that crash-test results were not available at the time of evaluation, so you should treat the standard safety equipment as a strong starting point rather than a substitute for published test results.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.36% compared with last year.
• The 2025 stands out as Cadillac’s new entry-level EV, with strong value, impressive range, and standard Super Cruise.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of Cadillac’s entry-level EV and you value range, standard driver assistance, and strong equipment for the money, the 2025 is the right place to start. If you’re more price-sensitive, keep shopping the market closely for a lower-mileage example near the bottom of the current price range.
