How much does the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ cost?

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ earns an expert rating of 7.8/10.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

The OPTIQ is positioned as Cadillac’s entry-level electric SUV, so you get a more accessible luxury EV with stylish design, impressive electric range, and strong value for money. It is aimed at shoppers who want a premium electric crossover without stepping up to a larger, pricier Cadillac.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: performance is fairly pedestrian, forward visibility is limited, and torque steer can make it feel less composed than its all-wheel-drive hardware suggests.

With 30.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ reliable?

The OPTIQ’s standard all-wheel-drive electric setup and battery-backed powertrain point to the kind of low-maintenance ownership many EV shoppers want, and the expert evaluation highlights strong value and a well-executed luxury interior. The standard battery pack is covered by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty, which helps reduce long-term ownership risk for used buyers.

The performance notes also suggest a generally composed EV driving experience, with minimal cabin noise and a comfortable ride. Cadillac’s inclusion of a battery warranty on top of the standard bumper-to-bumper coverage is a practical plus if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery and charging system have been cared for properly, since those are the most important expensive components to evaluate on an EV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report, confirm the charging equipment and software features work as expected, and prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery, tires, brakes, and suspension. Because this is an EV, you should also pay attention to how the car was charged and whether it shows any signs of unusual wear from frequent fast charging or heavy use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup is split into Luxury and Sport versions, with two levels for each. The Luxury models emphasize a more traditional upscale look, while the Sport models use darker exterior trim and a more aggressive appearance. The base trims are still well equipped, but the higher trims add features such as surround-view cameras and ventilated front seats.
• Powertrain: The OPTIQ uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. It is standard AWD, which is a strength, but the expert notes also point to torque steer and a powertrain that feels less potent than some rivals.
• Safety package: Super Cruise is standard, along with forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, a rear-seat reminder, the Safety Alert Seat, and GM’s teen driver monitoring system. That is a strong standard safety list, especially for a base luxury EV.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 33-inch curved display, and the system includes Google Built-in. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available, so make sure you are comfortable living inside Cadillac’s native interface.
• Range & charging: The battery pack is 85 kWh, EPA-estimated range is 302 miles, and Cadillac says DC fast charging can add 79 miles in 10 minutes. The standard onboard charger is 11.5 kW, and an optional 19.2-kW charger is available.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, ask how often the car was charged at home versus on DC fast chargers, and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains. A healthy battery history matters more than mileage alone on an electric vehicle.

Which 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Sport 1, Sport 2.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury 1: This is the entry point, and it already gives you the core OPTIQ formula: standard AWD, Super Cruise, strong range, and a premium-feeling cabin. It is the trim to start with if you want the best value and do not need extra convenience features.
• Luxury 2: This is the best-value upgrade if you want more everyday comfort and convenience, since it adds features such as surround-view cameras and ventilated front seats. If you want a more complete luxury experience without moving to the top of the range, this is the trim to target.
• Sport 1: Choose this if you prefer the darker, more aggressive exterior treatment and want the same basic equipment set in a sportier-looking package.
• Sport 2: This is the top Sport trim, and it makes sense if you want the most fully equipped version with the Sport appearance theme.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with Super Cruise and the rest of the standard driver-assistance suite included.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 213 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.92% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,846, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ's resale value?

The current average of $42,164 sits slightly below last year's $47,331.

That price drop suggests the OPTIQ has become more attractive to used buyers than it was a year ago. If you are shopping now, you may benefit from softer pricing and a wider gap between asking prices and the model’s earlier average.

For a future seller, the trend means you should expect resale values to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold up better than average, but the broader market has clearly moved lower.

Is the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ safe?

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ does not have crash-test ratings cited here, but it earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with Super Cruise hands-free highway driving, which is a standout feature in this class. Other standard driver aids include forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, a rear-seat reminder, Cadillac’s vibrating Safety Alert Seat, and GM’s teen driver monitoring system.

That is a strong safety package for a luxury EV, especially because the hands-free highway system is standard rather than optional. For used buyers, the main thing to verify is that all driver-assistance features are functioning properly and that the vehicle has the trim and equipment level you expect.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.92% compared with last year.
• The 2025 stands out for its strong value, impressive electric range, and standard Super Cruise.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, range, and standard equipment, the 2025 is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can still shop aggressively within this year’s used market and look for a well-kept example near the low end of the range.
