Which Volvo XC90 trim should I buy?

• Core: The entry trim is the best-value starting point, and it comes with the B5 mild-hybrid powertrain, standard AWD, and the XC90’s updated cabin and tech.
• Plus: This trim adds more upscale equipment, including the Orrefors crystal shift knob, and suits you if you want a stronger luxury feel without moving to the top end.
• Ultra: This trim brings the most premium presentation, including the 14-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound system and available Bowers & Wilkins audio, making it the right choice if you want the most fully equipped XC90.

What Volvo XC90 do most buyers choose?

The Volvo XC90 years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, price, and condition. They also sit close to the newest model years, so you can shop for newer features while still having a broad selection.

What is the Volvo XC90's resale value?

Most XC90 model years are showing clear year-over-year price declines, which is helpful if you want to buy used after the sharpest early drop has already happened. The newer models are falling too, but by smaller percentages than many older years, which keeps them attractive if you want recent features and a broader selection. Overall, the table points to a market where used buyers can find meaningful value across several model years.

The 2024, 2025, and 2018 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
