Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: City Safety with steer assist, Oncoming Lane Mitigation, and blind spot monitoring
• Infotainment: a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA rating is 26 mpg in combined driving, but on a sunny 88-degree day, the XC60 T5 returned 24.7 mpg on our Southern California fuel-economy loop. On the extended mountainous vehicle evaluation route, we saw 21.7 mpg.

Which Volvo XC60 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 offers these trims:

• Core: The entry trim in the 2026 XC60 lineup, giving you the model’s clean Scandinavian design and core luxury feel.
• Plus: A step up for shoppers who want more equipment while staying within the mainstream of the lineup.
• Ultra: The best-value trim, since it keeps the sumptuously outfitted cabin and adds the richer luxury touches that make the XC60 feel especially calm and pampered.
• Black Edition: A distinct appearance-focused trim for buyers who want a more dramatic look.

What Volvo XC60 do most buyers choose?

The Volvo XC60 years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

The highest-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you the broadest mix of availability, pricing, and trim choices. They also usually sit close enough to current-model features to feel modern while still offering meaningful savings versus the newest examples.

What is the Volvo XC60's resale value?

Most XC60 model years are down year over year, which creates better buying opportunities for used shoppers. The steepest drops are concentrated in older and mid-cycle examples, while the newest model years are falling more slowly. That pattern suggests you can often find stronger value in recent used XC60s without paying the newest-model premium.

The 2025, 2024, and 2015 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
