- Powertrain/efficiency: A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine generates 247 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, the powertrain features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system with an integrated starter/generator and regenerative braking, and the official EPA rating is 26 mpg in combined driving.
- Tech: A larger, high-resolution 11.2-inch touchscreen display debuts for 2026, Volvo Car UX powers the infotainment system, and the XC60 includes Google built-in with Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Gemini, and Google Play.
- Safety: The XC60 has an oncoming collision mitigation braking system, intersection braking assist, and Pilot Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist.
- Starting price: Prices range from $51,095 to $62,195, including the $1,395 destination charge.
If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

I have a base model Volvo XC60 from 2011, and its fantastic. No outstanding issues, comfortable seats, the base audio system is punchy but nothing insane. If you find one under 200k miles definitely pick one up!

Great reliable, safe vehicle, we purchased two, one for each of our first time drivers, twin granddaughters. One was recently involved in an horrific accident, and she walked away with only one small scratch. The car however was a total loss. We replaced it with the same model, we believe in it’s safety record…

CarGurus recommends the 2024 Volvo XC60
Summary
With 2,411 currently listed for sale and an average price of $38,345, 37.0% of 2024 Volvo XC60 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Volvo XC60 5 / 5 stars.

Why it stands out
The 2024 Volvo XC60 stands out as a premium compact crossover that leans heavily on Volvo’s long-running strengths: safety, clean Scandinavian design, and a well-equipped cabin. It is a five-passenger SUV with standard safety tech and luxurious amenities, and its appeal is rooted as much in its understated style as in its reputation for protection. Some shoppers may find the design dated, but others will see it as classic and timeless.
For 2024, the XC60’s lineup includes fuel-efficient four-cylinder powertrains, and the model also offers a plug-in hybrid. The 2024 model year returns to standard all-wheel drive, while the mid-level B6 powertrain is eliminated. The XC60 Black Edition also joins the lineup, exclusive to the top-end Ultimate trim, with Onyx Black paint, 21-inch gloss black alloy wheels, a crystal gear shift knob by Orrefors, and other black exterior and interior details.
Inside, the XC60 continues to emphasize modern technology and comfort. Standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, Thor’s Hammer LED headlights, and a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Buyers can also find available features such as heated front seats, Nappa leather seats, a premium sound system, air suspension, Pilot Assist with adaptive cruise control and steer assist, massaging seats, blind spot monitoring, and lane keep assist. Its main drawbacks are not hard to spot, either: the XC60 can be pricey, and the rear-seat legroom is tight.
