Which Volvo S90 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Volvo S90 offers these trims:

• Momentum: The base gasoline-only trim and the best-value starting point, giving you the core S90 experience at the lowest entry price.
• Inscription: Adds a more upscale feel, including Nappa leather in the test vehicle, plus power adjustment, memory, heating, and ventilation for the front seats.
• R-Design: A higher-priced trim in the lineup that sits alongside Inscription and the plug-in hybrid version in the 2021 pricing structure.

What Volvo S90 do most buyers choose?

The Volvo S90 years with the most listings are 2018, 2017, and 2019.

Higher-volume years usually give you more choices, which can make it easier to compare prices, trims, and condition. They also tend to be the years shoppers return to most often because inventory is deeper and deal opportunities are more visible.

What is the Volvo S90's resale value?

Both model years show lower prices than a year ago, which can work in your favor if you're shopping used. The larger drop points to a sharper reset in value, while the smaller decline suggests a milder move. Together, they show that recent S90 pricing has softened.

The 2017 and 2018 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Volvo S90 safe?

• 2021: 9/10
• 2017: 8/10

Volvo’s Pilot Assist driver-assistance system is standard, too, with adaptive cruise control.
