Shared most mechanical parts with the Audi 4000 Quattro other than the rear axle. Absolutely great in the snow with winter tires. With a 40/60 power split, you can throw it around like a rear driver. Not overly blessed with horsepower, but nimble. Great rumble of the 5 cylinder. Lots of room with the wagon. Fun - Nothing funner in the snow or on the ice!

My 4th car, bought after I sold my 302 v8 maverick, too heavy for a 1.8 engine, tires last few miles, with ar conditioning and assisted steering system on loses too much power. poor built quality , but good engine, despite poor aceleration low maintenance.

Loved the power steering, that I'd never known before- Everything seemed to work, except the air conditioning. Rusted the brakes were and hammers were needed just to free up the rust. Thankfully, the clutch was still okay. Just needed a little TLC as the prior owner did not give a cuss about the minor problems and rolled it along. Sad to have to give it away when we moved BACK to California.
