I own a 2016 Jetta GLI manual, and I have to agree with another reviewer: zero issues with this car (my first non-diesel Jetta). Just oil changes and general upkeep and runs beautifully. It's just turning over to 100,000 km. Super sporty and responsive.

These cars are so much fun and great value. Great engine that can be modified easily or just leave it and enjoy the 228hp and loads of torque

I loved all of the features this car has, it feels very luxurious for being a Volkswagen! I think the cars value for the year, mileage and interior cleanliness and features it’s a great price. I don’t think the car is missing anything. I would compare it more to a BMW type sedan which is great!
