Used Nissan Frontier for Sale near Oklahoma

How much does the Nissan Frontier cost in today's market?

Used Nissan Frontier prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Nissan Frontier's current nationwide average price is $26,899, and its lowest point over the past year was $23,947. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Nissan Frontier a good car?

Yes — the Nissan Frontier earns strong marks from owners across its long run, and the all-generations user rating supports that overall appeal. The all-generations owner rating is 4.52/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the Frontier for its powerful performance, comfortable interiors, and strong value. Reliability and towing capability also come up often, along with a rugged, dependable character that works well for daily use and off-road driving.

Expert reviews rate the 2023 and 2022 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs center on outdated technology, limited rear-seat space, and some older models' less refined feel. Those concerns are most noticeable in the years with the most dated cabins and the least modern feature sets.

35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Nissan Frontier models reliable?

Owners consistently describe the Frontier as dependable, durable, and useful, and expert commentary reinforces that reputation with praise for its solid construction and straightforward character. Across the lineup, you also see recurring approval for its comfortable ride, strong towing ability, and practical everyday usability.

• Owners rate the Nissan Frontier between 4.08 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is generally tied more to age, mileage, and maintenance history than to the model’s core reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used Nissan Frontier?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 81.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2021 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: standard driver-assistance features include automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, reverse automatic braking, and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and NissanConnect connected services including access to a Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: Running with RWD, the Frontier Pro-4X averaged 18.3 mpg on our Southern California test loop, beating the EPA estimate of 18 mpg combined (although that rating likely incorporates 4WD running). It also proved more fuel efficient than the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, which we recently tested on the same route (although we tested those trucks in Automatic 4WD guises). The Pro-4X is slightly less efficient than other Frontier models, which are rated at 19 mpg combined with 4WD and 21 mpg combined with RWD.

Which Nissan Frontier trim should I buy?

The 2026 Nissan Frontier offers these trims:

• S: The entry trim comes in King Cab and crew-cab styles, making it the most flexible starting point if you want the Frontier’s basic truck character and cab choice.
• SV: This trim adds more comfort and convenience options, including the available All-Weather Package and Dark Armor package, so it makes sense if you want the best-value mix of equipment and price.
• Pro-X: This trim brings a more rugged appearance and off-road-oriented personality for buyers who want a tougher look without stepping all the way up the lineup.
• Pro-4X: This is the off-road-focused trim, with standard 4WD, all-terrain tires, Bilstein off-road shocks, an electronic locking rear differential, front and underbody skid plates, and a Terrain mode selector.

What Nissan Frontier do most buyers choose?

The Nissan Frontier years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, more pricing spread to shop, and a better chance of finding the trim and equipment mix you want. They also tend to line up with newer Frontier generations and updates that keep the truck appealing to used buyers.

What is the Nissan Frontier's resale value?

Most Frontier model years are moving lower year over year, which creates better opportunities for used buyers. A few years are edging upward, but the overall pattern still favors shoppers looking for recent price softness rather than rising values.

The 2016 and 2025 model years are holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2017, 2016, and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
