Wonderful little car! I have owned mine since 1976. Reliable, sturdy, LONG LIFE!! I can compare it to a 1969 Mercury Montego, as I have one of those as well.

the car is amazing completly stock everything down to the wires, literally. its got a 302 engine with a 2-barrel carborator and has no power brakes or power steering

Purchased for $300 in 1995...drove daily to college...ran great until oil pump failed in the replacement (non original) 302. Has been off the road since, but has had numerous engines in the engine bay that have found their way into other cars with stellar performance results. It will be repowered again soon and on the road again

-Originally six cylinder engine w/ 2 speed automatic. -Swapped in 302 V8 with Automatic Overdrive Transmission (4 speed) -Changed to front drum brakes to disc brakes -repaired body and changed colour from silver to Ford Performance Red -New wheels and tires -refinished interior -changed rear axle -lowered front end -many other modifications

I was looking for a Falcon but found this Comet on the internet. Flew to Chicago and drove it home. Its been a great car ever since. You don't see many Comets and even fewer convertibles. The color combination is really eye catching with the white interior. Makes you more friends than a new puppy!
