Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: The standard assortment of MB.Drive systems includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, reverse automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The central touchscreen retains its 11.9-inch portrait-oriented dimensions and a few key design and layout elements such as the climate controls and permanently docked “buttons” for Home and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the upper left-hand corner.
• Fuel efficiency: 29 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive (RWD) and 27 mpg combined with all-wheel drive (AWD)

Which Mercedes-Benz C-Class trim should I buy?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz C-Class offers these trims:

• C 300: The lone C-Class offering, with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, and 255 horsepower; it suits you if you want the core C-Class experience with the latest updates.
• C 63: AMG models will eventually return, including with a V8 for the C 63 in place of the four-cylinder plug-in hybrid.

What Mercedes-Benz C-Class do most buyers choose?

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to draw the most shoppers because they offer a broad mix of availability, newer features, and strong value relative to their original equipment levels. More listings also give you more room to compare prices, trims, and condition.

What is the Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which can work in your favor if you are shopping used. The largest drops are concentrated in the newer years, while the older years show smaller declines. That pattern suggests you may find stronger relative value in recent used examples, especially if you want newer tech without paying new-car pricing.

The 2020, 2019, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Mercedes-Benz C-Class safe?

• 2022: 7/10
• 2017: 10/10

The standard assortment of MB.Drive systems includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, reverse automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control.

For the safest used buy, the 2017 model posts the highest confirmed score of 10/10.

Should I buy a used Mercedes-Benz C-Class now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −15.43% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −12.26%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 37.1% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 37.8%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $36,866. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class offers a premium cabin, stylish design, and a polished driving experience that make it feel like a scaled-down flagship.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The latest model uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, 255 horsepower, and 29 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive or 27 mpg combined with all-wheel drive.
• Tech: The latest model adds an all-new MB.OS supercomputer with AI, expanded over-the-air update capability, and an enhanced voice assistant that pulls from ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing, and Google Gemini.
• Safety: The latest model controls its driver-assistance systems with data from 12 ultrasonic sensors, eight cameras, and five radar sensors, and it adds AI algorithms to help manage those systems.
• Starting price: For context, last year’s C 300 started at $51,000 with RWD, with 4Matic AWD tacking on an extra $2,000.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
