Which Mazda CX-5 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Mazda CX-5 offers these trims:

• 2.5 S: The entry trim starts the lineup with standard AWD, Google built-in, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, and a comprehensive safety suite, making it the value-focused starting point.
• 2.5 S Preferred: This is the best-value trim, adding 19-inch wheels, a power liftgate, a head-up display, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 10-way power driver’s seat with memory.
• Premium: This trim adds a Bose 12-speaker audio system and SiriusXM satellite radio for a more upscale cabin experience.
• Premium Plus: The top trim brings the larger 15.6-inch screen, a 360-degree View Monitor with underfloor and parking views, a Driver Monitoring system, rear USB-C ports, paddle shifters, an adaptive front-lighting system, front cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, and Cruising & Traffic Support with Lane-Change Assist.

What Mazda CX-5 do most buyers choose?

The Mazda CX-5 years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2026.

These higher-volume years tend to draw the most shoppers because they offer the newest features, the broadest availability, and a strong mix of pricing and deal opportunities. When inventory is deeper, you also have a better chance of finding the trim, color, and condition you want.

What is the Mazda CX-5's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. A few years are rising instead, so the market is not moving in one direction across the board. The biggest drops are concentrated in the newer and mid-cycle years shown here, while a handful of older examples have edged up.

The 2014 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2015, 2024, and 2016 model years have held their value best, with prices flat to rising year-over-year.
