How much does the Jeep Wrangler cost in today's market?

Used Jeep Wrangler prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Jeep Wrangler's current nationwide average price is $24,973, and its lowest point over the past year was $24,792. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the Jeep Wrangler is a strong choice if you want a vehicle with a clear identity and a loyal owner base. The all-generations owner rating is 4.5/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise its off-road capability, rugged design, and fun driving experience. Many also appreciate the iconic styling and the ability to customize their Wranglers.

Expert reviews rate the 2024 and 2023 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs that show up in recent expert reviews are poor ride quality, noisy highway manners, and limited everyday refinement. Some years also bring a firmer on-road feel and a cabin that leans more utilitarian than plush.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is best managed by checking service history carefully and focusing on well-kept examples with clean records.

What should I look for when buying a used Jeep Wrangler?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 78.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard.

Which Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler offers these trims:

• Sport: The entry trim keeps the Wrangler’s core rugged character and is the starting point for the lineup.
• Sport S: This trim adds adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking, making it the best-value choice for shoppers who want more everyday convenience.
• Willys: This version adds a more distinctive off-road-oriented look and sits above the Sport S in the lineup.
• Rubicon: This trim brings the Wrangler’s more serious trail-focused hardware and capability.
• Rubicon X: This top trim adds the most advanced safety content in the lineup, including blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and high-beam assist.
• Willys ’41: This special edition adds unique styling touches, including a special army green finish, matching painted wheels, and a ’41 hood graphic.
• 85th Anniversary Edition: This four-door-only edition adds commemorative styling and sits above the mainstream trims.
• Sahara: This four-door-only trim adds a more upscale take on the Wrangler formula.
• Willys 392: This four-door-only model adds V8 power and a more performance-focused character.
• Moab 392: This four-door-only model adds the most aggressive V8-powered off-road setup in the lineup.

What Jeep Wrangler do most buyers choose?

The Jeep Wrangler years with the most listings are 2021, 2022, and 2019.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a strong mix of availability, familiar Wrangler character, and a wide spread of prices and trims to choose from. More listings also usually make it easier to compare condition, equipment, and deal quality.

What is the Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The largest drops are concentrated in the newer model years, while the older years show smaller declines. That pattern suggests recent Wranglers are giving buyers the biggest price relief right now.

The 2023, 2015, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
