What should I look for when buying a used Honda Ridgeline?

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2021 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Honda Sensing, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Road Departure Mitigation.
• Infotainment: a 9-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and wireless phone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: Most Ridgeline models return an EPA-rated 21 mpg combined (18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway), although TrailSport models are slightly less efficient.

Which Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Ridgeline offers these trims:

• Sport: the base trim starts the lineup with standard AWD, a V6 engine, a 9-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging; it is the best-value starting point if you want the Ridgeline’s core strengths at the lowest price.
• RTL: adds a step up in comfort and equipment over Sport, making it a strong choice if you want a more upscale daily driver.
• TrailSport: adds all-terrain tires, unique suspension tuning, and a front skid plate, making it the pick if you want the most off-road-focused Ridgeline setup.
• Black Edition: the range-topping trim adds the most premium presentation and the richest equipment mix in the lineup.

What Honda Ridgeline do most buyers choose?

The Honda Ridgeline years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.

These higher-volume years tend to draw more shoppers because they offer a broad mix of availability, pricing, and deal opportunities. When inventory is deeper, you usually have a better chance of finding the right trim, color, and condition.

What is the Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

Most Ridgeline model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used because prices have generally softened. The declines are fairly broad across the lineup, with several recent years showing similar movement. One older model year is moving in the opposite direction, which shows that not every Ridgeline follows the same pricing pattern.

The 2014, 2019, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
