Used Honda Accord for Sale nearHouston, TX

How much does the Honda Accord cost in today's market?

Used Honda Accord prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Honda Accord's current nationwide average price is $18,877, and its nationwide low point over the past year was $17,829. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the Honda Accord is a strong used-car pick if you want a roomy, comfortable sedan with a long-standing reputation for reliability and everyday ease of use. The all-generations owner rating is 4.42/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the Accord for its spacious interior, smooth ride, and fuel efficiency. Across the model years, reviewers also repeatedly highlight its comfortable cabin, strong safety features, and well-rounded driving experience.

Expert reviews rate the 2021 and 2014 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs show up in the newer expert-reviewed years: pricing can run high, all-wheel drive is not part of the formula, and some versions bring minor comfort or tech frustrations.

32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Honda Accord models reliable?

The Accord is consistently praised for reliability, comfort, and fuel efficiency, and owners often describe it as a dependable sedan that is easy to live with. Expert and owner feedback also points to a smooth ride, spacious cabin, and strong everyday usability.

• Owners rate the Honda Accord between 3.5 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership picture looks reassuring overall, especially if you choose a well-kept example with a clean history and solid maintenance records.

What should I look for when buying a used Honda Accord?

Across all model years, at 63.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2023 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Honda Sensing
• Infotainment: a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: According to the EPA, the Accord LX and EX should return 32 mpg in combined driving.

Which Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord offers these trims:

• LX: The entry trim uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and gives you the standard Accord setup at the lowest price point.
• EX: This step-up trim adds an eight-speaker audio system and is the trim CarGurus tested; it also pairs with an affordable safety package that adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Sport: This trim is the point where hybrid power becomes standard, making it the best-value choice if you want the Accord’s newer hybrid setup.
• Touring: This upper trim sits at the top of the lineup and is the right fit if you want the most fully equipped version of the 2023 Accord.

What Honda Accord do most buyers choose?

The Honda Accord years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a strong mix of newer features, broad availability, and pricing that still sits below brand-new inventory. More listings also give you a better chance of finding the color, trim, and condition you want.

What is the Honda Accord's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is helpful if you’re shopping used and want to avoid paying peak prices. The declines are generally modest to moderate, with the sharpest drops showing up in some older and mid-cycle years. A few years are holding closer to flat than the rest, which can make them especially appealing if you want value stability.

The 2015 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2015, 2014, and 2016 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Honda Accord safe?

• 2023: 9/10
• 2021: 9/10
• 2020: 8/10
• 2018: 8/10
• 2016: 5/10
• 2015: 7/10
• 2014: 9/10

Honda Sensing is standard across all trims on the 2023 Accord.

For the safest used buy, the 2014, 2021 and 2023 models all post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

Should I buy a used Honda Accord now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −3.69% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −3.03%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 35.2% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 36.1%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $25,124. The Honda Accord offers a roomy cabin and a polished, comfortable driving experience that make it easy to live with every day.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Honda equips the 2023 Accord LX and EX with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 192 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 192 pound-feet of torque between 1,700 rpm and 5,000 rpm.
• Tech: The infotainment system includes Bluetooth connectivity, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, and HondaLink connected services, including Wi-Fi access and an SOS emergency call button.
• Safety: Every 2023 Accord has Honda Sensing, a collection of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) that can help to prevent a collision.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
