Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Genesis’ Highway Drive Assist, lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, blind view monitor, remote smart parking, and a 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: a clear, crisp 27-inch OLED screen housing both a digital gauge cluster and infotainment system, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA gives the 2025 Genesis GV80 with the four-cylinder engine a rating of 19 miles per gallon city, 24 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined. The six-cylinder engine only nets 16/22/19.

Which Genesis GV80 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Genesis GV80 offers these trims:

• Standard: The entry trim gives you the GV80’s core luxury-SUV character and standard all-wheel drive, making it the starting point if you want the model’s design and equipment without moving up the range.
• AWD: This trim adds the features Genesis ties to the AWD step, including a heated steering wheel, digital key, and spare tire, making it a smart value choice.
• Select: A well-rounded step up that keeps the GV80’s upscale feel while moving you closer to the richer equipment mix buyers tend to want.
• Advance: This is the best-value trim for the larger engine, and it adds the stronger twin-turbo six-cylinder for buyers who want more power.
• Prestige: The top trim brings the most luxurious presentation and the fullest equipment set, including the larger engine if you choose it.

What Genesis GV80 do most buyers choose?

The Genesis GV80 years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

Those higher-volume years tend to be the easiest to shop because you get more inventory to compare and a better chance of finding the right color, trim, and equipment mix. They also usually attract the broadest buyer interest, which helps explain why they show up so often in used listings.

What is the Genesis GV80's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the GV80 lineup, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used. The larger drops create more room for value, while the smaller change at the top of the table suggests some years are holding up a bit better than others. Overall, the pattern points to a market where buyers can find meaningful savings on recent model years.

The 2024, 2021, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Genesis GV80 now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −16.48% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −9.11%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 38% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 36.7%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $48,765. The Genesis GV80 offers a stylish, upscale cabin with a distinctive luxury feel that helps it stand out in the segment.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Genesis kept the powertrain options the same for 2025. A 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is standard fare on the GV80. This power plant puts out 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Our tester goes bigger with a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine good for 375 ponies and 391 lb-ft of torque.
• Tech: All trims of the GV80 get a clear, crisp 27-inch OLED screen housing both a digital gauge cluster and infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both here, something that Genesis hasn’t offered in the past on the larger screens.
• Safety: Genesis’ Highway Drive Assist is standard and it’s been updated with an attention monitor.
• Starting price: Pricing starts at just over $59,000 including $1,350 for destination.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
