These are great now they are coming down in price. For the most part the GMT900 platform is rock solid. There are some quirky things that come with this platform, nothing major. Make sure to keep up on the maintenance and ensure all fluids are full. I’ve had 3 units Silverado, Tahoe and Yukon xl combined mileage around 500k. By far the lowest cost used vehicle to own. The only serious bad thing about these and reason for 3 stars is the body. GM didn’t use any rust preventative or e-coated panels anywhere on these. Rust forms in the rockers and wheel openings. I know I mentioned maintenance above but make sure to keep up on maintenance and oil changes by 5k miles regardless of what the oil life monitor says. Change tout the battery every couple of years, the accessories are power hungry and kill batteries.

CarGurus recommends the 2023 GMC Yukon XL
Summary
With 2,600 currently listed for sale and an average price of $55,077, 36.5% of 2023 GMC Yukon XL listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2023 GMC Yukon XL 5 / 5 stars.
87.0% of 2023 GMC Yukon XL listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2023 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, flexibility, and a wide range of powertrain choices. Its long-wheelbase design adds more room for third-row passengers and a great deal more cargo space behind them, which is a major part of its appeal. For buyers who need a large SUV that can carry people and gear with ease, that extra size is the Yukon XL’s defining trait.
This model year also benefits from a well-equipped, modern cabin and a broad spread of trims. The standard 5.3L V8 is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, while the available 6.2L V8 and 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel engine give shoppers more performance or efficiency choices. The 2023 Yukon XL Denali Ultimate also became its own separate trim level on top of the regular-grade Denali, and Super Cruise semi-automated driver assistance technology became an option. Owners commonly praise the 2023 Yukon XL for its spaciousness, features, style, and drivability, and many see it as a more attainable alternative to pricier luxury SUVs.
There are tradeoffs, though. The Yukon XL’s size is a strength for interior room, but it also contributes to poor fuel economy and handling that is less agile than car-based crossovers. Even so, for buyers who prioritize passenger space, cargo capacity, and a premium feel in a single package, the 2023 GMC Yukon XL remains a compelling choice.
