For those considering a GMC Sierra 2500HD, the 2021 and 2019 model years present strong alternatives due to their balance of affordability and quality ratings. The 2021 model offers a competitive average price of approximately $51,783 with a user rating of 4.7/5, making it an appealing choice for buyers seeking value. Model years to approach with caution

Additionally, both years have a significant percentage of listings categorized as not good/great deals, indicating potential concerns regarding their overall value and availability constraints in the marketplace.

What people say
I’m not a fan of black. This truck had a black exterior and interior. It’s not for me. GM should offer more color choices.
Great reliable truck highly recommend to anyone looking for a great all around Truck
I test drove all of the major diesel 3/4 ton trucks and this one rode the best and had the most creature comforts. That coupled with a reliable duramax and allison transmission sealed the deal. It also proportionally looks right. Some trucks just look off (too low, too high, tires too small, etc).
This truck is an SLT model, so its loaded with a lot of luxury features including power leather seats, premium sound (Bose), factory remote start, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, etc.
The direct injection system and potential carbon buildup on the 6.6 gas V8 engines concern me - especially for long term use. GMC needs to work on developing a more reliable HD gas engine for longevity.
