These cars float down the road like you are sitting on your couch. They can pass a truck with little or no effort and look good doing it at the same time doing it. These cars were quite reasonably priced when new. Prices on these collector cars are quite reasonable today and affordable by most anyone too compared to other muscle cars or collector cars of that era. with prices going from $750 for a driver needing work to $12,000 for a 100 point showcar. average price is around $2500 for a car you can drive to work year-round and showoff on the weekend or at cruise nights during the summer months.

The 289 V-8 combined with C4 Cruise-O-Matic is the ultimate in spirited, economical, and reliable performance. This car like any machine needs regular maintenance, that is what makes them last. Style is a matter of taste of course but in my opinion it doesn't get much better than a 1965 Ford. And as we all know, the 1965 Ford rides quieter than a Rolls-Royce.

considering the car was 43 years old when i stopped driving it to do a restoration, it's still what i rate other cars i drive against as far as handling, braking, and comfort. with all wheel drum brakes it stopped surprisingly quick, topped out at 98mph... in second gear (equipped with the 3-speed Cruise-o-Matic transmission, and though it was a tank was the most comfortable ride i could wish for. i really miss cruisin in my baby. :'( had some of my best times in that beast and i more than willingly paid for the 12mpg i got on the good days... with a light foot and the wind at my back. wouldnt trade it for ANYTHING built within the last 20 years. never.
