Customer summary
Overall, the Ford F-250 has a long-standing reputation for reliability, power, and strong performance across its various model years. Owners consistently praise the truck for its ability to haul and tow heavy loads as well as its durable build quality. Many drivers appreciate the powerful diesel engines, notably the 7.3L Powerstroke, which contributes to its strong towing capabilities and performance off-road. However, a common critique is its poor fuel economy, which many find disappointing, along with some issues related to comfort and interior space. Despite these downsides, the F-250 remains a favored choice for those seeking a tough, dependable work vehicle.

Great truck....it's got the 7.3L Powerstroke, and the best year possible (1997). Easy to work on, easy to turn up and get more power. Great for towing but also a good rig for around town...downside is combination of the crew cab (4 full doors) and a short bed. Backseat is roomy enough for 3, but bed isn't big enough to hold what you need. Still, love the truck.

Its old and busted, but damn that engine can roar! Its black and grey. It has a 460 Big Block. No air but is very room and comfortable. Nice back seat. Great for hauling dirtbikes and such. Gas and oil hog but other than that its an outstanding truck for sure.

Overview
The F-250 is Ford's three-quarter-ton pickup truck, rounding out the highly popular F series of trucks. Building on the success of the F-150, the world's best-selling truck, the F-250 was designed as a sturdier vehicle with greater hauling capacity.
Launched under its current model name in 1953, the Ford F-250 was marketed as a working vehicle for farm, ranch, and job site. In 1997, the heavier, more rugged F-250 Super Duty line was inaugurated, featuring a heftier frame and stiffer suspension.
You'll see the F250 in many commercial fleet applications, including some with modifications for U-Haul. In an era of shaky market strength for Ford, the F-Series continues to be a strong seller.
