Used Ford Escort for Sale near Oregon

I have had this car for almost nine years with only minimal problems. The maintenance has consisted of new tires and battery only. It does what I need it to do, get me back and forth with no problems.

Performance- Has pretty good acceleration for a 4 cylinder and good handling! The ride is a little crashy but nothing not to expect with an economy car. The braking is ok but the petal feels spongy with too much travel. Build Quality- Has decent build quality although it is very cheaply built. The dash as nice "soft" plastics and the rest of the car is bare bones essentials. Repairs are minimal and only appear after ample wear to the part. The car is very reliable. Appearence- I personally think the car looks kinda of angry and when lowered the car has an aggressive stance. Nice look over all. Interior is nothing flashy but gets the job done! Cost of ownership-This car is great on gas averaging around 39 mpg (Imp) or 32 mpg (US). Costs under $40 to fill up from empty. Maintenance is cheap and all the parts are in-expensive. Very easy to maintain. Fun Factor- This car is a blast to drive with the right upgrades. I have a couple upgrades on mine: Escort GT rear sway bar, front and rear strut bars, short shifter, zx2 front seats, Weapon R cold air intake, and a beautiful sounding Magnaflow muffler.

My mom bought it new at a dealer in California for a mere five grand. Amazing how cheap cars were back then. It was just a basic car, with no A/C, no power options, standard transmission. A nice reliable car that got the job done.

Best £800 I ever spent, Its got PS, EW, RCL, SR, Heated Front Screen, 1.8 115ps (standard form) engin plus more. Its been ever so slightly modded since Ive had it though, its now got the following; Full RS2000 Body Kit GTI 15" alloys Plasma Glow Dials Full Sound System GTI Half-Leather Interior DVD player Smoked Headlights One-off modded rear light clusters Full PowerFlow Exhaust system -40mm GMAX shocks and springs. All in all, its a bargain.. it handles exceptionally well, the bright white paint turns heads and its performance is enough to see off most cars, even bigger engined ones.

EXTERIOR The basic model Ford is mainly driven by people who just sit all day turning slowly into beige. That's because it's the last car to turn any heads. The faster RS model actually looked pretty good because of the flashy facelift. If a young bloke wanted a sleek looking escort, he had two options: buying the RS, or fitting the basic model with the same bodykit (all show and no go, that is) My Escort modifications: -RS Bodykit -Turbo air vents -Racing exhaust -Sport suspension INTERIOR Well, there isn't any. But there are plenty of aftermarket steering wheels, gear knobs, pedals and seats that suit perfectly the escort's sporty exterior. SAFETY None:) ECONOMY Insuring is cheap, but fuel economy is terrible, 26 miles to the gallon. That's in the same category with Porsche Boxter!!
