Customers say

The Chrysler Le Baron has consistently been favored for its style, fun driving experience, and convertible options across various model years. Owners appreciate the comfortable interiors and decent power, making it a stylish choice for leisurely drives. However, many have expressed concerns about reliability, particularly with transmission issues and the quality of components as the car ages. Overall, it strikes a balance between enjoyable driving and the practicality of a budget-friendly vehicle, although maintenance and repairs can be a hurdle for some.

Mine was the high tech (for 89) 2.2 intercooled 5 speed GTC. This car does everything well and has an awesome drivetrain. Mine was well modded and made about 280hp (est. crank rating) on the stock GarretT2 at its peak. I kick myself for selling this car more than anything. Easily a mid 13 sec car with a lot of potential.

The car was very comfortable. I loved the digital dash. The car got really good gas mileage (for a turbo). Very quick for its age. Repairs were simple and didn't cost too much. The car had decent handling for a four door hatchback. Overall a great sleeper car. The End.

Best car I ever owned. Only issue is it did like to eat transmissions.

Performance- It accelerates awesome, handles well, but the tires have too much sidewall flex, brakes tend to fade after hard use, Build Quality- It is built surprisingly well for the era it was built, suspension components are strong, and it soaks up the bumps very well Appearance- I think it was supposed to be classy, but its not. Its boxy and lame and I hate how it looks Cost of ownership- I paid $600 for the car and I've put on nearly 15K since owning it. I did a transmission service when I got it, 2 new wheel bearings, and a paintjob.
