The Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT has garnered mostly positive feedback from owners across all model years. Drivers consistently appreciate its spacious interior, comfort, and strong performance, particularly for towing and family trips. Many also favor its 4WD and AWD capabilities, making it suitable for various conditions. However, concerns come up regarding fuel economy, with several owners noting that gas mileage is a drawback, along with some mechanical and electrical issues that may arise over time.

This vehicle has well over 200,000 miles and has been on more family vacations than I can remember. It's a workhorse for sure! It's been very good to my family and I would certainly buy another if given the chance.

I have the 5.3 in my trailblazer and it goes good has great take off but loses at high end... gas mileage is about16.5-17.3. I bought it with 30,000 and has just about 70,000 miles now and has had no major problems. The truck is fun to drive especially with having 300 horse but the gas milage does hurt a bit on long trips.

I've mainly used this as commuter/family car for the past 6 years. No regrets buying it. Have occassionally towed 4-wheelers and small boat. Handles great towing and hardly noticed any difference. Rides smooth and great in the snow with traction control and 4WD. Loved the automatic 4WD to shift on the fly for snowy hills. This is the best of a truck and SUV in a slightly smaller package and beats any kind of car or minivan any day. Built on truck frame but rides smooth like a car. 7 passenger with great cargo space. 3rd row is comfortable with lots of leg room. Rear air and entertainment system. Low cost maintenance. Biggest bang for your buck in performance, reliability, and comfort.

Gas mileage is the biggest con for this SUV. I love the look, the ride, the room inside and all the luxury features it has. If gas mileage and the cost of gas were not an issue for me right now I would definitely keep it. I bought it for long term use.
