Used Chevrolet Tahoe for Sale near Lawton, OK

How much does the Chevrolet Tahoe cost in today's market?

Used Chevrolet Tahoe prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Chevrolet Tahoe's current nationwide average price is $40,244, and its nationwide low point over the past year was $39,108. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the Chevrolet Tahoe is a strong choice if you want a full-size SUV with broad appeal and proven owner satisfaction. The all-generations owner rating is 4.5/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the Tahoe for its spacious cabin, comfort, and strong performance. Across the model years, the Tahoe also earns repeat praise for family-friendly usefulness, towing strength, and a long list of features that make it easy to live with on long trips.

Expert reviews rate the 2021 and 2025 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs that show up in expert reviews are tight cargo space with all rows in place, thirsty V8 engines, and a large footprint that can be cumbersome in cities and on trails.

35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Chevrolet Tahoe models reliable?

Owners and experts consistently point to the Tahoe’s spaciousness, comfort, and strong capability as its biggest strengths. The model also earns repeated praise for its family-friendly character, towing usefulness, and long-term appeal as a large SUV.

• Owners rate the Chevrolet Tahoe between 3.7 and 5 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-kept example with a clean history and a careful pre-purchase inspection.

What should I look for when buying a used Chevrolet Tahoe?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 77.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2021 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist
• Infotainment: 17.7-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: up to 27 mpg on the highway

Which Chevrolet Tahoe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe offers these trims:

• LS: The entry trim brings the new 17.7-inch touchscreen and the ADAS suite, making it the best-value starting point if you want the latest cabin tech and core safety equipment.
• LT: Adds more equipment as you move up the lineup and suits shoppers who want a more well-rounded daily driver.
• Z71: Adds full-length skid plates, front recovery hooks, all-terrain tires, 20-inch wheels, and an extra one-inch lift, making it the rugged choice in the lineup.
• RST: Adds street-performance-focused styling and suits buyers who want a more aggressive look.
• Premier: Adds a more luxurious feel and sits in the upper part of the range for shoppers who want more upscale equipment.
• High Country: Adds the 6.2-liter V8 as standard equipment and sits at the top of the lineup for buyers who want the most powerful and most upscale Tahoe.

What Chevrolet Tahoe do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Tahoe years with the most listings are 2022, 2023, and 2024.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a strong mix of availability, newer features, and a wide range of prices. More listings also make it easier to compare trims, mileage, and condition before you buy.

What is the Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

Most Tahoe model years are down year over year, which creates better opportunities for used buyers. The newer model years show especially large drops, while a few older years have smaller changes and therefore have held closer to their prior pricing.

The 2014, 2023, and 2015 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Chevrolet Tahoe safe?

• 2025: 7/10
• 2021: 9/10
• 2018: 9/10

Chevy does include a compelling slate of standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to help prevent crashes.

For the safest used buy, the 2018 and 2021 models both post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

Should I buy a used Chevrolet Tahoe now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −14.4% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −14.57%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 37.1% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 37.4%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2022 model has the most listings at a current average price of $43,277. The Chevrolet Tahoe offers a roomy cabin, strong towing ability, and a versatile full-size SUV character that works well for families and long trips.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The 2025 Tahoe offers a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel with 305 hp, 495 lb-ft of torque, and up to 27 mpg on the highway.
• Tech: The 2025 Tahoe brings a 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch driver information screen, and an optional 15-inch head-up display, plus Google Built-in with Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Play Store.
• Safety: The latest Tahoe adds automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, pedestrian and bicycle braking, automatic parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a teen driver monitoring system.
• Starting price: The LS trim starts at $60,495.

If you're buying used today, the 2022 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

How does the 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe compare to the 2024 GMC Yukon?

The Chevrolet Tahoe gives you a lower starting MSRP and a lower average used price, while the GMC Yukon carries a higher price point and fewer listings. If you want more inventory and a lower entry cost, the Tahoe is the easier shop; if you want to compare closely matched full-size SUVs, the Yukon is the pricier alternative.
