Which Chevrolet Malibu trim should I buy?

The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu offers these trims:

• Malibu L: The entry trim starts the lineup and gives you the Malibu's core sedan formula at the lowest price point.
• LS: A step up from the base model, this trim sits in the middle of the lineup for shoppers who want a balance of value and equipment.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers, since it sits in the sweet spot between affordability and added features.
• Hybrid: This trim adds hybrid efficiency and is the choice for shoppers who want the Malibu's fuel-saving side.
• Premier: The top trim adds the 2.0-liter turbo engine, the 9-speed automatic, and the most upscale equipment, making it the pick for buyers who want the strongest performance and the fullest feature set.

What Chevrolet Malibu do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Malibu years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

Higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare, more pricing competition, and more chances to find the right trim and condition. They also usually reflect the model years shoppers are most comfortable targeting for a mix of value and modern features.

What is the Chevrolet Malibu's resale value?

Most Malibu model years are down year over year, which is good news if you're shopping used because it creates more room for value. The biggest drops are concentrated in the newer model years, while older examples are falling more slowly. That pattern gives you a wide spread of price points to choose from depending on how much equipment and freshness you want.

The 2014, 2019, and 2017 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
