Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist
• Infotainment: 11-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in apps, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: EPA-rated 27 mpg combined (26 mpg city, 29 mpg highway)

Which Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Equinox offers these trims:

• LT: The LT starts with chrome grille mesh, 17-inch wheels, cloth seats, and the core tech and safety setup, making it the best-value choice for most shoppers.
• Activ: The Activ adds a more prominent lower front fascia, more chrome trim, all-terrain tires on 17-inch wheels, and unique microfiber and Evotex seats for a more rugged look and feel.
• RS: The RS brings more black trim, a wider grille, standard 19-inch wheels, and a flat-bottom steering wheel for a sportier appearance.

What Chevrolet Equinox do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Equinox years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, more pricing competition, and a newer feature set that still sits within a used-car budget.

What is the Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

Most Equinox model years are down year over year, and several recent years show double-digit declines. That creates a favorable setup for used buyers who want newer features without paying near-new prices. The smaller drops on a few older years suggest some versions are holding value a bit better than others.

The 2014, 2015, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Consider waiting if:

• Tech: An 11-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.3-inch touchscreen are standard, and the Equinox retains wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Safety: The latest model adds a standard suite of driver aids, plus available surround-view camera, digital rear-view mirror, rear pedestrian alert, and traffic-sign recognition through the Safety and Technology Package.
• Starting price: Pricing starts at $30,795 for an LT model with FWD.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
