The Cadillac Escalade's current nationwide average price is $56,348, and its nationwide average price reached a low of $49,810 over the past year. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Super Cruise, automatic emergency braking with front and rear pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitors with lane-change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and GM's Safety Alert Seat.
• Infotainment: a 55-inch curved display with a digital instrument cluster, a 35-inch central infotainment touchscreen, a 20-inch front passenger screen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: 16 mpg combined for the 4WD configuration, and our observed 16.4 mpg over 320 mostly highway miles.

Which Cadillac Escalade trim should I buy?

The 2026 Cadillac Escalade offers these trims:

• 1SA: This is the entry trim, and it gives you the Escalade’s standard rear-wheel-drive setup with the 6.2-liter V8 and the model’s core luxury presence.
• Platinum Luxury: This trim adds a more upscale luxury focus and sits above the entry version for buyers who want a richer equipment mix.
• Platinum Sport: This trim adds the blacked-out Sport appearance treatment, including dark window surrounds, black roof rails, and a mesh grille.
• Platinum Luxury: This trim adds the more chrome-heavy Luxury look and sits above the Sport-oriented versions.
• Platinum Sport: This trim adds the more menacing Sport styling and the premium cabin treatment described in the expert review.

What Cadillac Escalade do most buyers choose?

The Cadillac Escalade years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2022.

These higher-volume model years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right price, mileage, and equipment mix. They also sit close enough to the newest generation to deliver the Escalade’s modern tech and luxury appeal.

What is the Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The Escalade shows broad year-over-year price declines across the model years in the table, which is good news if you're shopping used. The newer models are still seeing double-digit drops, while the older years also continue to move down in price. That pattern gives you more room to find value across the lineup.

The 2016, 2022, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Cadillac Escalade safe?

• 2026: 6/10
• 2025: 6/10
• 2023: 6/10
• 2022: 8/10
• 2021: 8/10
• 2015: 8/10

Super Cruise is standard across the lineup.

Should I buy a used Cadillac Escalade now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −12.47% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −10.24%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 36.4% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 37.6%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $77,138. The Cadillac Escalade offers a spacious, upscale cabin with a commanding presence that makes it feel special every time you drive it.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The 2026 Cadillac Escalade is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and our test vehicle returned 16.4 mpg against an EPA estimate of 16 mpg combined for the 4WD version.
• Tech: The interior’s centerpiece is a 55-inch curved display that spans the full width of the dashboard, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the lineup.
• Safety: Every model includes automatic emergency braking with front and rear pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitors with lane-change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and GM's Safety Alert Seat.
• Starting price: The 2026 Cadillac Escalade starts at $93,995 for the 1SA trim.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
