Customers say
The BMW 7 Series stands out as a luxurious and powerful sedan, consistently praised for its sophisticated performance, comfortable ride, and upscale interior across all model years. Owners appreciate the robust engines, advanced technology, and spaciousness, which make it a joy for both city driving and long trips. However, many drivers express concerns about high maintenance costs, potential reliability issues, and the complexity of some interior features. Overall, the 7 Series is seen as a fantastic option for those seeking a combination of luxury and driving pleasure, though the ownership experience can be pricey.

I love this car I had a 740i BMW 2001 and a 740il. I preferred the 740i because of its turning radius. I’ve never seen a body style that I like better. I will definitely buy this car if the price comes due to the high mileage. Waiting patiently.

Why it stands out
The 2022 BMW 7 Series stands out as a full-size luxury sedan that has long been associated with advanced technology and a wide range of powertrains. BMW’s flagship has a reputation for leaning into innovation without abandoning its sporting character, and this generation continues that approach with a lineup that includes mild hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and an all-electric model. For buyers, that breadth is a major part of the appeal: the 7 Series offers the kind of powertrain variety that is unusual in the segment, while still aiming to deliver the comfort and prestige expected from a top-tier luxury sedan.
It also brings a strong mix of comfort and capability. The available equipment includes rear-wheel drive or BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive, a Live Cockpit setup with a 12.3-inch digital cluster and a 14.9-inch curved infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a standard head-up display, quad-zone climate control, front seat massagers, and a panoramic glass roof. The chassis hardware is equally ambitious, with double wishbone front suspension, multilink rear suspension, adaptive air suspension, active anti-roll bars, and all-wheel steering. On the downside, the 7 Series is expensive to buy used, and its options list can be costly, but it remains appealing for shoppers who want a large luxury sedan with serious technology and a broad range of powertrain choices.
