The 2020 Audi R8 stands out as a mid-engined supercar that blends exotic performance with the kind of polish Audi is known for. For 2020, its styling was refreshed with sharper edges, aggressive aerodynamic bits that included a front splitter and rear diffuser, and a move from 19- to 20-inch wheels. It also kept the R8’s appeal as a car that feels special without being intimidating, thanks to Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system and the brand’s focus on a refined, well-engineered package.
Performance remained a major part of the 2020 R8’s identity. The base R8 V10 was rated at 562 hp and 406 lb-ft, with a top speed of 201 mph, or 200 mph for the Spyder. The R8 V10 Plus was renamed Performance for 2020 and kept its 602-hp V10 engine.
