I drove a 2020 MDX. The hybrid is a smooth drive and handles very well.It is a little noisy in the cabin especially when accelerating . The main problem with the 2020 is the lack of availability . There are very few in northern California and no plans to add more. The sales manager said that the 2021 model will not be available until March,

About the Acura MDX Sport Hybrid
The MDX Sport Hybrid was introduced for the 2017 model year as part of a refresh of the third-generation MDX, Acura’s midsize crossover SUV. It was dropped after the 2020 model year—the last for the third-gen MDX. Its main rival was the hybrid version of the Lexus RX but, as the name implies, the MDX Sport Hybrid emphasizing performance to a greater degree than the RX hybrid.

The Sport Hybrid was the top MDX model, offering more power (321 horsepower versus 290 hp) and better fuel economy (27 mpg combined versus 23 mpg combined) than the non-hybrid version. However, those differences weren’t readily apparent in the real world. The Sport Hybrid name wrote checks the chassis couldn’t cash, and the on-paper difference in fuel economy could be erased by a heavy right foot.
