The Acura MDX Sport Hybrid, a 3-row hybrid luxury SUV, carries over for 2020. Its closest competitor is the Lexus RX L Hybrid.
The MDX Sport Hybrid’s powertrain comprises a 3.0-liter V6 engine, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) and three electric motors. Two of those electric motors reside on the rear axle, enabling standard all-wheel drive (AWD) and allowing the car to direct power to each rear wheel for maximum traction. All in, the system is good for 321 horsepower, 289 pound-feet of torque, and 26 mpg city, 27 highway and 27 combined with premium fuel.
By default, the MDX Sport Hybrid seats seven people with a second-row bench seat. For greater levels of comfort, it offers a 6-person configuration with second-row captain’s chairs and a rear center console. With either layout, the second-row seats have an automatic collapse function to allow access to and from the third row.
Every MDX Sport Hybrid comes with 20-inch wheels, perforated leather upholstery, LED headlights, keyless access and start, remote engine start, power-folding side mirrors, a power liftgate, navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, natural wood accents, and a 10-speaker premium audio system. Selecting the optional Advance Package adds Milano leather, contrast stitching, heated and cooled front seats, LED fog lights, a heated steering wheel, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, and active dampers.
On the safety front, the MDX Sport Hybrid gets the AcuraWatch suite of technologies standard. This includes a reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, and road-departure mitigation. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are also standard. The only options are a head-up display (HUD) and a surround-view camera. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) designated the MDX as a whole a Top Safety Pick and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave it a 5-star overall rating.
The Acura MDX Sport Hybrid represents a unique proposition, offering technology, sportiness, and luxury in a fuel-efficient package.

Really bad, like maybe the worst SUV ever. Dont buy.
The 2020 model is great. However I have decided to wait for the 2021. I will be comparing the MDX to the 2-21 Exployer
