New & Used 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS for Sale nearFort Lauderdale, FL

Is the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS earns an 7.7/10 expert rating, and the standout strength is Performance at 9/10. It is aimed at you if you want extra space and towing capacity in a luxury SUV, and Mercedes positions it as the SUV equivalent of the brand’s flagship S-Class sedan. That helps explain why it can be equipped with virtually every feature in the automaker’s catalog, and why the 2027 update focuses on styling, powertrains, and tech rather than reinventing the formula.

The trade-offs are that the design may be polarizing and the cabin has some ergonomic issues. Even so, the GLS remains a well-executed luxury SUV, and its combination of multiple powertrain options, a comfortable ride, and easy-to-use technology makes it a strong fit if you value size, capability, and upscale equipment more than visual restraint or interface perfection. Good and great deals account for 35.6% of listings, which gives you a decent amount of market choice.

Is the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS is presented as a refined, well-executed luxury SUV, and Mercedes says the updated powertrains are tuned to improve responsiveness while reducing noise, vibration, and harshness. The six-cylinder model also uses an integrated starter/generator electric motor to improve efficiency, and the brand says the GLS 450’s inline-six is all the engine drivers need.

Mercedes also emphasizes the GLS’s comfort and polish, which matters for long-term ownership because a smoother, less strained powertrain and a well-sorted ride usually make daily use easier to live with. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a highly equipped luxury SUV can become expensive to own if you inherit neglected maintenance or complex option content.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with available air suspension, advanced driver-assistance tech, and multiple powertrain choices. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy use, and whether the equipment you want is actually present on the specific vehicle you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard series includes GLS 450 4Matic and GLS 580 4Matic models, with AMG GLS 63 and Maybach GLS 680 also available. The GLS 450 is the value-oriented choice if you want the core luxury-SUV experience without stepping into the pricier V8 models.
• Powertrain: The GLS 450 uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with 375 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, while the GLS 580 uses a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 530 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. All GLS models feature an integrated starter/generator electric motor, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and 4Matic all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, traffic-sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality. Optional features include steering assist, lane-change assist, parking assist, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: The standard Superscreen uses three 12.3-inch screens, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are retained. The system runs Mercedes’ MB.OS-based MBUX software, and the front-passenger screen can show videos.
• Fuel efficiency: The GLS 450 is expected to achieve 21 mpg combined (19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway). Mercedes did not provide current estimates for the V8 models, but prior-year figures were 16 mpg combined for the GLS 580, 17 mpg combined for the AMG GLS 63, and 15 mpg combined for the Maybach model.

Which 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS trim should I buy?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS is offered in 4 trim levels: GLS 450 4Matic, GLS 580 4Matic, AMG GLS 63, and Maybach GLS 680.

Here's the short version:

• GLS 450 4Matic: This is the best-value trim if you want the GLS’s core strengths: a comfortable ride, easy-to-use technology, standard leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a panoramic glass roof. It also gives you the six-cylinder powertrain and the broad luxury-SUV experience without the big jump in price.
• GLS 580 4Matic: Choose this if you want more power and stronger straight-line performance. It adds the twin-turbo V8 and is the better fit if you care more about effortless acceleration than keeping costs down.
• AMG GLS 63: This is the performance-focused choice, with a higher-output V8, a performance-tuned transmission and suspension, a limited-slip differential, and beefier brakes. It suits you if you want the most aggressive driving character in the lineup.
• Maybach GLS 680: Pick this if you want the most luxurious and exclusive version, with the Maybach treatment and extensive personalization potential. It is the top-end choice for buyers who want maximum prestige rather than value.

Standard safety equipment is strong across the lineup, while steering assist, lane-change assist, parking assist, and a surround-view camera system remain optional.
