New & Used 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale nearSavannah, GA

Is the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

For 2027, you’re looking at a luxury SUV that leans into comfort, technology, and breadth of choice rather than flash. Mercedes gives it a comprehensive refresh with a new engine range, new exterior lighting and grille treatment, and a standard MBUX Superscreen with three 12.3-inch displays under one glass panel. It also adds MB.Drive Assist Pro, which brings hands-on Level 2 driver assistance.

The trade-offs are clear: the most powerful versions are expensive, and the GLE remains more comfort-oriented than sporty. That makes it a strong fit if you want a premium family SUV with lots of configuration choices and a polished cabin, but less compelling if you prioritize sharp handling.

Good and great deals account for 34.6% of listings, which suggests there’s still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE is built around a familiar luxury-SUV formula, and the refresh focuses more on updating the powertrains, tech, and driver assistance than reinventing the vehicle. Mercedes says the new engine lineup brings improved responsiveness, including a turbo-four with an electric compressor to help reduce lag and a revised inline-six with more torque.

The plug-in hybrid also adds a larger battery and DC fast charging, which should make it easier to live with if you can charge regularly. Mercedes’ Pre-Safe system adds another layer of protection by closing windows and tightening seatbelts in a collision, and Pre-Safe Sound is designed to reduce hearing loss.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the GLE’s complexity and premium hardware can make repairs and upkeep more expensive than on simpler SUVs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-spec models with more equipment and more complex powertrains. Pay close attention to tire wear, suspension behavior, infotainment operation, and whether the vehicle’s features match the trim level you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Entry-level models use MB-Tex artificial leather and a lot of grained plastic, while higher trims can add wood trim, real leather upholstery, and the Manufaktur Interior Package with more vibrant color options.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, and plug-in hybrid setups. The base engine uses an electric compressor to help reduce lag, while the inline-six and V8 are described as smooth and quick.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitors, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, a stop light, traffic-sign and speed-limit recognition, evasive steering assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality. Mercedes says the sensor suite can support a more advanced system, and MB.Drive Assist Pro adds hands-on Level 2 driver assistance.
• Infotainment: The standard Superscreen combines three 12.3-inch displays, and the system runs MB.OS with an AI-enhanced voice assistant. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are retained.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four is rated at 23 mpg combined (21 mpg city, 26 mpg highway), and the turbo-six is rated at 21 mpg combined (19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway).

Which 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 5 trim levels: GLE 350 4Matic, GLE 450 4Matic, GLE 500e 4Matic, GLE 580 4Matic, AMG GLE 53 Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350 4Matic: This is the entry point, and it already brings a strong standard equipment list that includes a rear-view camera, power tailgate, heated and electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, a power sunroof, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, and LED headlights. It’s the value play if you want the GLE experience without chasing expensive powertrains.
• GLE 450 4Matic: This is the best all-around choice if you want more power than the base model and still want to stay below the plug-in and V8 versions. It adds the stronger inline-six and keeps the GLE’s comfort-first character intact.
• GLE 500e 4Matic: Choose this if you want plug-in hybrid capability and the ability to drive on electric power for short trips. It’s the right fit if charging at home or work matters to you.
• GLE 580 4Matic: This is the pick if you want the most relaxed, effortless luxury feel from the non-AMG lineup. It’s powerful, but it also pushes the price into serious luxury territory.
• AMG GLE 53 Hybrid: This is the performance-oriented choice in the range, with AMG-specific hardware and a much stronger plug-in hybrid setup. It suits you if you want the most aggressive version short of the top AMG model.

Mercedes says the sensor suite can support a more advanced driver-assistance system, and MB.Drive Assist Pro is part of the 2027 update.

Choose the 2027 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• It adds a major refresh with updated tech, new styling, and upgraded powertrains.
