New & Used 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander for Sale nearLexington, KY

Is the 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander a good car?

The 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander is a practical, family-focused three-row SUV that gives you extra room without pushing you into a larger, truck-based vehicle. Toyota designed it to sit between the regular Highlander and the Sequoia, and its “adult-sized” third row, generous cargo space, and more modern, upmarket look are the main reasons it stands out.

It also has a strong efficiency angle for a large SUV, with four-cylinder powertrains and both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive available. The gas version uses a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 265 horsepower, and Toyota says the model can return 22-24 mpg combined for gas versions, 33-36 mpg for the standard hybrid, and 27 mpg for Hybrid MAX versions.

The tradeoffs are worth keeping in mind: it has been criticized for cumbersome handling, some cheap-feeling interior materials, and early reliability concerns. Even so, if you want a roomy, cost-conscious three-row SUV, the Grand Highlander fits that brief well, and 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander reliable?

The 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander has a mixed reliability picture based on the overview. Toyota’s formula here is practical and efficiency-focused, but the model has also been criticized for early reliability concerns, including owner complaints about noisy interiors, hood vibrations, and other issues.

That means you should treat it as a vehicle where condition and maintenance history matter a lot. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is moderate enough that a careful inspection is important before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the vehicle’s past matches the seller’s description. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on interior noise, vibration, and overall build quality, since those are the kinds of concerns highlighted in the overview.

It also makes sense to spend extra time evaluating how the cabin, cargo area, and third row fit your needs, because the Grand Highlander’s main value is its space and everyday usability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

Should I buy a 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

The bottom line: The 2026 is a strong choice if you want a roomy, efficient three-row SUV and you find a well-kept example at the right price. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar ownership experience with a lower entry cost, so it’s worth comparing condition, mileage, and asking price across years.
