New & Used 2026 Nissan Armada for Sale nearForrest, IL

Is the 2026 Nissan Armada a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from owners and 8.67/10 from CarGurus experts. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

The 2026 Nissan Armada is presented as a body-on-frame SUV that delivers power, towing capacity, premium materials, and luxury-grade driving dynamics at a reasonable price. It also stands out for its excellent roadholding and body control, silky engine response, and high-quality cabin, which help it feel more polished than many full-size SUVs.

The trade-offs are clear: cargo space is less generous than competitors’, third-row space trails rivals, and fuel economy is poor.

For shoppers who want a large SUV that feels more premium and more engaging to drive than its price suggests, the Armada fits that brief well. Good and great deals account for 32.6% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Armada’s twin-turbocharged V6 is described as creamy smooth in delivery, refined in tone, and paired seamlessly with the nine-speed automatic transmission. The overall package is also framed as high-quality and well executed, with no cheap-feeling details in the cabin.

Its standard equipment and polished driving manners support the impression of a well-sorted SUV, and the available air suspension is highlighted for its compliant ride and excellent body control. If you plan to keep one long term, the main ownership risk is that its poor fuel economy and size-related compromises may wear on you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Nissan Armada?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with towing use. Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, and whether the equipment level matches what you expect from the trim you’re shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SV is the most stripped-down version, with only six speakers, no 120-volt AC outlet, and fewer USB ports than higher trims. Upgrading brings a better stereo, more ports, and more convenience features, while the Platinum Reserve adds quilted-leather upholstery, massaging front seats, and multicolor ambient lighting.
• Powertrain: Every Armada uses a twin-turbocharged V6 with 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The NISMO raises output to 460 hp on premium fuel.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, front and rear parking sensors, surround-view camera system, ProPilot Assist, blind-spot monitors, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, high-beam assist, and front and rear automatic emergency braking. ProPilot Assist 2.2 with hands-free highway operation is unavailable on the SV and NISMO.
• Infotainment: The SV gets two 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SiriusXM with 360L. SL and above add Google Maps, Google Assistant, weather, over-the-air updates, and Wi-Fi, while Platinum and above switch to two 14.3-inch displays.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA-estimated fuel economy is 16 mpg city, 19 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined for all 4WD trims.

Which 2026 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2026 Nissan Armada is offered in 6 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum, Pro-4X, NISMO, and Platinum Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the entry point, but it’s the one to avoid if you want the Armada to feel properly premium. It has the basics, including the standard dual 12.3-inch displays and wireless smartphone integration, but it misses several comfort and convenience upgrades found higher up the range.
• SL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds Google Maps, Google Assistant, weather, over-the-air updates, Wi-Fi, and the stronger 12-speaker, 600-watt Klipsch stereo. It’s the sweet spot if you want the Armada’s upscale feel without jumping too far in price.
• Platinum: This trim is the right move if you want a more luxurious cabin and more towing-friendly tech. It also gains the larger 14.3-inch displays and is the point where the Armada starts to feel especially upscale.
• Pro-4X: Choose this if you want the off-road-oriented setup, including a locking rear differential, all-terrain tires, skid plates, and increased suspension travel. It also gets the air suspension.
• NISMO: This is the performance-flavored choice, with 460 hp, a lower stance, forged 22-inch wheels, and a more dramatic look and cabin treatment. It’s the most expressive Armada, but it’s more about character than a fundamentally different powertrain.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the luxury pick, adding quilted-leather upholstery, massaging front seats, and multicolor ambient lighting. It also gets the air suspension and is the most upscale version in the lineup.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but ProPilot Assist 2.2 is unavailable on the SV and NISMO.

Is the 2026 Nissan Armada safe?

The Armada’s current-generation crash-test ratings were unavailable at the time of writing.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Many driver-assistance features come standard, including adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, front and rear parking sensors, surround-view camera system, ProPilot Assist, blind-spot monitors, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, high-beam assist, and front and rear automatic emergency braking. The Armada also comes standard with front, front-side, front-knee, and curtain airbags, and the Platinum Reserve adds an additional front far-side airbag.

A trim-level caveat is that ProPilot Assist 2.2 with hands-free highway operation is unavailable on the SV and NISMO.

Should I buy a 2026 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Nissan’s NISMO version gives this year a more performance-focused edge.

Consider the 2025 if:

• The lineup expands with PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve, broadening the Armada’s appeal.

The bottom line: The 2026 is the better pick if you want the latest version with the NISMO twist and strong market availability. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2025 is worth a look because it delivers the same new-generation foundation and a broader trim range that may open up more value-oriented choices.
