New & Used 2026 Nissan Altima for Sale nearColumbia, CT

Is the 2026 Nissan Altima a good car?

The 2026 Nissan Altima is a moderate choice if you want quiet, practical transportation with a lower starting price than many rivals. The overview points to a sedan that emphasizes comfort, available all-wheel drive, plenty of equipment, and a strong safety story, while the continuously variable transmission makes it less appealing if driving excitement matters to you.

It also stands out for its fuel economy and value positioning, with combined EPA ratings averaging around 31 mpg and a brand-new Altima starting just shy of $28,000 before destination. Resale values remain a weakness, so the Altima makes the most sense if you prioritize everyday usability and features over long-term value retention.

34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent but selective shopping environment.

Is the 2026 Nissan Altima reliable?

The 2026 Nissan Altima is presented as a practical, comfort-focused sedan with a strong safety story and broad equipment list. The overview also highlights available all-wheel drive and good fuel economy, which support its appeal as an easy-to-live-with daily driver.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that resale values remain a weakness, so you should be especially careful about price and condition.

Should I buy a 2026 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers strong front seats and available all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: The 2026 is the better primary path if you want a newer Altima with solid deal availability and a healthy share of accident-free listings. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 can be worth a look for its comfort and available AWD, especially if you find a well-kept example at a meaningfully lower price.
