New & Used 2026 Lexus TX for Sale nearSan Bernardino, CA

Is the 2026 Lexus TX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus TX earns a 7/10 from our experts. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as Lexus’s full-size three-row SUV, and its biggest appeal is the combination of a spacious interior and three different powertrains in a stylish package. For you, that means a large family SUV with a third row that is meant to be genuinely usable, plus plenty of cargo space to support day-to-day family duty.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology can be unintuitive, and the interior materials feel cheap for the class. Even so, the TX remains a distinctive choice if you value space, flexibility, and a premium badge in a three-row SUV.

Good and great deals account for 38.9% of listings, which gives you a decent amount of room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus TX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus TX is presented as a relatively young model, having been introduced for the 2024 model year, and that newer design can be a plus if you want a current-generation SUV with a fresh platform and modern powertrain choices. The expert review also describes the plug-in hybrid as quiet and smooth, with no jerks or hiccups when it switches between gas and electric power, and the suspension is described as easily soaking up bumps and potholes.

On the ownership side, Lexus includes complimentary maintenance for the first year or 10,000 miles, which helps soften early running costs. The plug-in hybrid also brings flexible operating modes, including electric-only driving, hybrid operation, and a charge mode that uses the gasoline engine to replenish the battery.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the TX’s newer technology and complex powertrain setup may be more important to inspect carefully than the basic mechanical layout.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus TX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-spec example with more equipment. Focus on cabin condition, tech operation, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific trim you’re looking at.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TX 350 comes in Base, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling specs, while the 500h hybrid can be had in F Sport Performance Premium and F Sport Performance Luxury trims. The 550h+ plug-in hybrid is only available in the top Luxury trim. Base-trim equipment gaps matter here because the lineup spans from simpler versions to more richly equipped models.
• Powertrain: The base model uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, while the plug-in hybrid pairs a 3.5-liter V6 with a hybrid system for 404 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid also offers electric-only driving, hybrid driving, gas-only driving, and a charge mode.
• Safety package: Every Lexus TX gets Safety System+ 3.0, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, Lane Tracing Assist lane centering, lane departure warning with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and Proactive Driving Assist. Hands-free driving is available via subscription.
• Infotainment: The TX uses a 14-inch color touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The system also supports wireless charging, and the available Technology package adds a digital rearview mirror, head-up display, 360-degree camera system, and remote parking.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid has an all-electric range of 33 miles, and once the battery is drained it gets an EPA-estimated 29 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Lexus TX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus TX is offered in 7 trim levels: Base, Premium, Luxury, F Sport Handling, F Sport Performance Premium, F Sport Performance Luxury, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point if you want the TX’s core space and family-friendly layout at the lowest starting point. It makes sense if you care most about getting into the model and don’t need the richer equipment found higher up.
• Premium: This is the trim to consider if you want a better-balanced mix of equipment and value without jumping all the way to the top of the range. It should suit you if you want more comfort and convenience than the base model without chasing every available feature.
• Luxury: This is the best-value trim for the 550h+ plug-in hybrid because it’s the only trim offered for that powertrain. It also fits buyers who want the most upscale version of the plug-in hybrid without moving into a different TX powertrain.
• F Sport Handling: Choose this if you want the TX 350 with a sportier appearance and a more driver-focused flavor than the standard trims.
• F Sport Performance Premium: This is the hybrid trim to look at if you want the 500h’s performance-oriented setup with a more accessible equipment mix than the top F Sport Performance Luxury.
• F Sport Performance Luxury: Pick this if you want the most upscale version of the 500h hybrid and are willing to pay for the highest-spec performance trim.
• Luxury: For the plug-in hybrid, this is the trim that matters most because it’s the only one available. It’s the one to buy if you want the 550h+’s strongest power and best fuel economy.

Every TX comes with Safety System+ 3.0 as standard, so you don’t need to move up the trim ladder to get the core driver-assistance suite.
