New & Used 2026 Lexus NX for Sale nearNew Bedford, MA

Is the 2026 Lexus NX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns a 7.00/10 expert rating, and it stands out for its range of powertrains, standard advanced safety features, and fuel-efficient hybrid models. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a luxury crossover that leans toward efficiency and variety rather than outright driving excitement. The trade-offs are clear: its design may be polarizing, its ride quality is poor, and it does not offer much cargo space compared with rivals. Even so, the market signal is encouraging, with 39.9% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus NX is presented as a conservative ownership choice, with the model’s appeal tied to its established formula, broad powertrain range, and Lexus-brand confidence. The expert review also frames it as a good value in hybrid form, which supports the idea that you’re buying into a well-developed platform rather than a risky redesign. Its performance notes point to a powertrain lineup that includes a turbocharged four-cylinder, a hybrid setup, and a plug-in hybrid, with the hybrid versions looking especially compelling on paper. For used buyers, that suggests the long-term ownership risk is more about choosing the right configuration and condition than worrying about a fundamentally unproven vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim or more heavily optioned example. Focus on overall condition, since the NX’s appeal depends heavily on how well the cabin, tech, and ride quality have been maintained. If you’re shopping a hybrid or plug-in hybrid, make sure the vehicle’s equipment and charging-related features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base NX 350 is the least expensive entry point, but the Premium and Luxury grades add meaningful comfort upgrades, and the F Sport Handling trim brings adaptive dampers, black 20-inch wheels, a different front fascia, black roof rails, and black window framing. The base NX 350 does not quite live up to the luxury expectation as well as higher trims.
• Powertrain: You can choose among the NX 350, NX 350h, and NX 450h+ powertrains. The NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, the NX 350h uses a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid setup with 240 hp, and the NX 450h+ raises output to 304 hp.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and traffic-sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also tied to the electronic door handles.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard on base and Premium trims, while a 14-inch display is optional on Premium and standard on higher trims. All models include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and six USB ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-hybrid NX 350 is rated at 24 mpg combined, with 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. The NX 350h is rated at 40 mpg combined, with 42 mpg city and 38 mpg highway in FWD form, and the NX 450h+ is rated at 36 mpg combined in hybrid mode with 37 miles of electric range.

Which 2026 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus NX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it’s the least convincing expression of the NX’s luxury mission. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with a simpler setup.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds meaningful comfort and convenience equipment, including a power-adjustable steering column and heated and ventilated front seats on the NX 350 Premium.
• Luxury: This is the trim to target if you want the NX to feel more upscale, since the NX 350 Luxury adds leather upholstery.
• F Sport Handling: This is the choice if you want the sportiest-looking NX, with adaptive dampers, black 20-inch wheels, and unique exterior treatment, but the ride tuning is firmer and less settled.

The NX 450h+ is not available in base trim, so if you want the plug-in hybrid, you’ll need to shop higher up the lineup.
