Is the 2026 Kia Sorento a good car?

The 2026 Kia Sorento is a strong fit if you want a midsize SUV that balances family-friendly space, a more upscale cabin, and a wide range of powertrains. It offers three rows of seating, generous standard equipment, and a design that feels more polished than before, while still keeping the value-minded appeal that defines the nameplate. The user rating is 2/5, and the market shows 37.7% of listings as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Kia Sorento reliable?

The 2026 Kia Sorento has a solid safety story and a well-rounded feature set, with the model earning the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award and the broader generation posting strong crash-test results. It also offers a range of powertrains and available driver-assistance features that make it feel well equipped for daily use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Sorento tends to lose value faster than the average SUV in its class.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Kia Sorento?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific example has a clean title and consistent service records. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and any available driver-assistance features, since higher-trim equipment can add complexity. Focus on overall condition and maintenance quality, especially if you are considering a higher-priced trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,484 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 96.4% of listings are accident-free.

Should I buy a 2026 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers broad powertrain choice and a right-sized three-row layout.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version with strong safety credentials, a more upscale feel, and broad trim and powertrain variety, the 2026 is the better primary choice. If your priority is value and you want to compare pricing across similar Sorento setups, the 2025 is the better secondary path to check first.
