New & Used 2026 Hyundai Palisade for Sale nearSanta Fe, NM

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Hyundai Palisade earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It’s presented as a redesigned three-row SUV that aims to blend family-friendly utility with more style than a minivan, and the update is described as an improvement over the outgoing version in every meaningful way. For you, that means a comfortable, spacious family hauler with broad appeal, plus multiple powertrain options and a great ride quality.

The main trade-offs are that fuel economy lags behind top rivals and the XRT trim gives up some luxury features. Even so, the Palisade’s combination of space, refinement, and everyday usefulness makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row SUV that feels more upscale than many mainstream alternatives. Good and great deals account for 39.4% of listings.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Palisade is described as a thoroughly updated three-row SUV with a refined driving character, a quiet ride, and a powertrain that feels smooth and well suited to moving a big SUV and its passengers. Its standard V6 is called quiet and refined, and the transmission shifts with authority in normal driving. The model also benefits from Hyundai’s generous new-car warranty of five years or 60,000 miles and a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a maintenance perk in the broader ownership picture, with Hyundai’s new-car coverage adding value for buyers who plan to keep the vehicle for years. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that fuel economy trails the class leaders, so operating costs may be a little less favorable than the most efficient rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai Palisade?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim or more heavily equipped example. Focus on overall condition, feature functionality, and whether the equipment level matches what you want, since the lineup spans a wide range of content and capability.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE uses a much smaller 4.2-inch digital display, while all other models get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The XRT Pro is the off-road-oriented choice, but it does not have the high-end finishings of the Calligraphy, so you should weigh rugged capability against cabin luxury.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 3.5-liter V6 with 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is optional, and the XRT Pro is AWD-only.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, forward attention warning, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. SEL Premium adds side parking sensors, while Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch center touchscreen is standard, along with onboard navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Calligraphy also offers a 12-inch head-up display, and SEL Premium, XRT Pro, Limited, and Calligraphy models get a Surround View Monitor camera system.
• Fuel efficiency: Front-wheel-drive models are rated at 19 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. All-wheel-drive versions drop by 1 mpg across the board.

Which 2026 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 6 trim levels: SE, SEL, SEL Premium, XRT Pro, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, but it’s the most stripped-down version of the lineup, including the smaller 4.2-inch digital display instead of the larger 12.3-inch cluster found on the rest of the range.
• SEL: This is the value-oriented step up if you want the core Palisade experience without jumping too far in price, and it keeps the standard safety and infotainment foundation while adding more equipment than SE.
• SEL Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete feature set, since it adds the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and side parking sensors.
• XRT Pro: Choose this if you want the most rugged version, with all-terrain tires, 8.4 inches of ground clearance, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, recovery hooks, and a factory-installed tow hitch.
• Limited: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale, well-equipped family SUV, and it also gets the factory tow hitch.
• Calligraphy: This is the luxury choice, with the most premium cabin treatment, a head-up display, integrated front and rear dashcams, and upgraded Highway Driving Assist II.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but the top Calligraphy gets the upgraded Highway Driving Assist II system, while the mid-level SEL Premium adds side parking sensors and Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade hadn’t received safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety at press time.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Palisade offers a comprehensive suite of driver-assist features, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, forward attention warning, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. SEL Premium adds side parking sensors, while Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist.

Hyundai’s base Highway Driving Assist I is standard on all but the top Calligraphy, which gets Highway Driving Assist II with lane-change assistance. One caveat from testing is that the system did not consistently detect cyclists, so you should still treat the driver-assist tech as a backup rather than a substitute for attention.

Should I buy a 2026 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Hyundai’s redesign makes the Palisade more refined, more spacious, and more appealing than the outgoing version.

Consider the 2025 if:

• The outgoing model still feels competitive and offers a strong mix of styling, technology, and packaging.

The bottom line: If you want the most complete Palisade, the 2026 is the better default choice because it’s the redesigned version and the one Hyundai clearly pushed forward in comfort, style, and overall execution. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2025 can still make sense when the price gap is meaningful and you’re comfortable with the older generation.
