New & Used 2026 Hyundai Palisade for Sale nearGrand Rapids, MI

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Hyundai Palisade earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It comes across as a redesigned three-row SUV that prioritizes family-friendly utility with more style than a minivan. The Palisade’s strengths are its multiple powertrain options, great ride quality, and spacious cabin, which make it a strong fit if you want everyday comfort without giving up three-row usefulness. One trade-off is that the XRT trim loses luxury features, and another is that fuel economy lags behind top rivals. Even so, the market signal is favorable, with 41.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Palisade is presented as an improvement over the outgoing version in every meaningful way, and Hyundai’s update is framed as a meaningful step forward. Its standard V6 is described as quiet and refined, the transmission shifts with authority, and the ride is tuned for comfort without feeling floaty. Hyundai also backs the vehicle with a generous new-car warranty of five years or 60,000 miles and a powertrain warranty of 10 years or 100,000 miles.

For used buyers, that combination points to a reassuring ownership profile, though you should still expect normal wear-and-tear checks on a large family SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai Palisade?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim or AWD example. Focus your inspection on cabin condition, electronics, and any signs of heavy family use, since this is a three-row SUV that’s likely to have seen regular passenger duty. If you’re looking at an XRT Pro, pay extra attention to the off-road hardware and underbody condition.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE uses a much smaller 4.2-inch digital display, while all other models get a 12.3-inch cluster. The XRT trim loses luxury features, so you should compare it carefully against the more comfort-focused trims if you want a more upscale cabin.
• Powertrain: The 2026 Palisade uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. FWD is standard, AWD is optional, and the setup is tuned for smooth, refined everyday driving rather than quick acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, forward attention warning, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. SEL Premium adds side parking sensors, and Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist. Highway Driving Assist I is standard on all but Calligraphy, which gets Highway Driving Assist II with lane-change assistance.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard, along with onboard navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SEL Premium, XRT Pro, Limited, and Calligraphy models add a Surround View Monitor, and Calligraphy models also get integrated front and rear dashcams.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 19 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. AWD models drop by one mpg.

Which 2026 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 6 trim levels: SE, SEL, SEL Premium, XRT Pro, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the redesigned Palisade experience at the lowest price, but it also comes with the smaller 4.2-inch digital display instead of the 12.3-inch cluster found on the rest of the lineup.
• SEL: This is the value-oriented choice if you want a better-equipped Palisade without jumping too far up the price ladder. It keeps the core comfort and space advantages while moving you beyond the base-trim compromises.
• SEL Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete feature set, since it adds side parking sensors and the Surround View Monitor while staying below the luxury-focused upper trims.
• XRT Pro: This is the rugged choice, with all-terrain tires, 8.4 inches of ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, recovery hooks, and off-road display features. It’s the one to choose if you want the most dirt-ready Palisade.
• Limited: This trim adds a factory-installed tow hitch and is one of the trims that can take advantage of the Palisade’s 5,000-pound towing capacity. It also gets the Bose audio system and Surround View Monitor.
• Calligraphy: This is the top luxury trim, with the upgraded Highway Driving Assist II system, evasive steering assist, integrated front and rear dashcams, a 12-inch head-up display, and the Bose audio system.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade hadn’t received safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety at press time.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Palisade offers a comprehensive suite of driver-assist features, and many of them are standard. You get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, forward attention warning, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. SEL Premium adds side parking sensors, while Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist. Highway Driving Assist I is standard on all but Calligraphy, which gets Highway Driving Assist II with lane-change assistance.

One caveat is that some additional packages are required for certain features, and the system’s real-world detection can still miss cyclists at times, so you should treat driver assistance as a backup rather than a substitute for attention.

Should I buy a 2026 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 41.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Hyundai redesigned the Palisade for 2026, making it more upright, more refined inside, and more compelling overall.

Consider the 2025 if:

• The outgoing model still offers strong space, styling, and packaging value.

The bottom line: If you want the most polished and up-to-date Palisade, the 2026 is the better path. If your priority is stretching your budget, the 2025 remains worth a look when the deal is especially strong.
