CarGurus Analysis: 2026 Honda Ridgeline
Summary
With 963 currently listed for sale and an average price of $40,100, 24.3% of 2026 Honda Ridgeline listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2026 Honda Ridgeline 5 / 5 stars.

Why it stands out
The 2026 Honda Ridgeline stands out because it continues to blend pickup utility with a more car-like, comfort-focused character. Honda’s truck uses a unibody construction and shares a mechanical platform with the Honda Pilot and the Honda Passport, which helps explain why it is known for a smooth driving experience rather than the rougher feel often associated with traditional body-on-frame pickups. It also keeps the Ridgeline’s signature practical touches, including the dual-action tailgate and the in-bed trunk, while offering a spacious interior and a well-equipped cabin.
For 2026, the TrailSport gains an exclusive Ash Green Metallic paint option, and the Black Edition becomes available with a contrasting roof in either Sonic Gray Pearl or Platinum White Pearl. The Ridgeline TrailSport is the most off-road-focused Ridgeline yet, with an off-road-tuned suspension, unique spring rates, damper valve tuning, stabilizer bars, and General Grabber A/T Sport all-terrain tires. The Ridgeline also offers Honda Sensing on higher-spec models, and Honda’s Intelligent Traction Management system lets the driver choose normal, snow, sand, or mud settings to tailor traction control to the conditions.
There are trade-offs, though. The Ridgeline’s unibody design may not appeal to traditionalists, and its off-road capability is limited. It also has a lower towing capacity than rivals, so it is best suited to buyers who value comfort, innovation, and everyday practicality more than heavy-duty truck work.

The Honda Ridgeline is an excellent choice for a consumer that still needs a truck for odds and ends but doesn't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a full-size or heavy duty truck. You get all the technology that an upper trim level full-size truck offers for half the price.

Is the 2026 Honda Ridgeline a good car?
Yes — the 2026 Honda Ridgeline earns a 5/5 user rating, which lines up with its comfort-focused, everyday-friendly approach. It blends pickup utility with a more car-like driving character, and it stands out for practical features like the dual-action tailgate, in-bed trunk, spacious interior, and well-equipped cabin. If you want a midsize truck that prioritizes comfort and usability over ruggedness, it fits that use case well. With 27.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2026 Honda Ridgeline reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The Ridgeline’s unibody construction and shared platform with the Pilot and Passport help support its smooth, refined character, and its overall design is aimed at everyday livability rather than hard-use truck duty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its lighter-duty truck mission may not match your needs if you expect heavy towing or serious off-road use.
What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Ridgeline?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck’s condition matches the listing photos and description. Put extra inspection priority on the cabin, bed features, and any signs of prior repair or heavy use, since those details matter most on a truck built around everyday practicality. If you are considering a TrailSport or Black Edition, make sure the specific trim equipment and cosmetic details are present and in good condition.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2026 if:
- 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2025 if:
- It emphasizes comfort, easy everyday use, and clever storage solutions.
The bottom line: Choose the 2026 if you want the latest version of the Ridgeline’s comfort-first formula and you value its practical truck features. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 is the better path to consider because it delivers the same basic appeal with a simpler value proposition.
