New & Used 2026 Honda Passport for Sale nearNew Bern, NC

How much does the 2026 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,137 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The Passport is a redesigned two-row SUV that moves into a more rugged, aspirational space, and it stands out for its spacious interior, cargo capacity, and easy-to-use technology. It is also positioned as more capable off-road than before, which broadens its appeal if you want a family-friendly SUV with a tougher personality.

The trade-offs are clear: it still lacks key off-road hardware such as a locking differential and low-range 4WD, and it carries a high price. Poor fuel economy is another drawback.

There are 33.2% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport is presented as a well-rounded SUV with broad usefulness, and its redesign brings a new engine, new interior, and updated cargo area. Its naturally aspirated V6 and 10-speed automatic are aimed at delivering straightforward, predictable power, and the powertrain is described as strong and unobtrusive in testing.

Honda Safety Sense is standard, and the Passport also includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control. It also includes eight standard airbags.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Passport’s higher purchase price and less-efficient V6 can make it costlier to live with than some rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a TrailSport or a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, and signs of hard use, since this SUV is aimed at buyers who may actually take advantage of its more rugged positioning.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport is sold in RTL, TrailSport, and TrailSport Elite trims. The RTL is the most straightforward choice, while the TrailSport models add a more adventure-focused look and feel, and the TrailSport Elite brings the most upscale cabin presentation.
• Powertrain: Every Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD. It is tuned for strong, predictable power rather than maximum efficiency.
• Safety package: Honda Safety Sense is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard, along with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger. Every trim also gets a Wi-Fi hotspot, four USB-C ports, and a 10.2-inch digital driver display.
• Fuel efficiency: The Passport is rated at 19 mpg city, 25 highway, 21 combined in RTL trim and 18/23/20 in TrailSport and TrailSport Elite trims.

Which 2026 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: RTL, TrailSport, TrailSport Elite.

Here's the short version:

• RTL: This is the best-value choice if you want the Passport’s core strengths without paying for the more adventure-focused trims. You still get the standard V6, AWD, the 12.3-inch touchscreen, Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full safety suite.
• TrailSport: This is the trim to choose if you want the Passport’s tougher personality and more off-road-oriented setup. It adds the more rugged character that matches the model’s redesign, and it is the most natural fit if you plan to use the Passport for trail duty or outdoor trips.
• TrailSport Elite: This is the pick if you want the most upscale Passport. It adds the richest cabin presentation, plus the 12-speaker Bose stereo and TrailWatch camera system.

Honda Safety Sense is standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting huge discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,137 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $46,176, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $46,792 sits slightly below last year's $47,057.

That small decline suggests the Passport is holding value fairly well rather than sliding sharply. For a future seller, that kind of stability can help you avoid a steep depreciation hit if you buy at the right price.

The market also appears orderly, with prices staying within a relatively tight annual range. That makes timing less critical than condition, mileage, and trim choice when you eventually resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport safe?

The 2026 Honda Passport earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Safety Sense is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control. Eight airbags are also standard.

A key caveat is that crash testing for this generation was still pending in the source material, so there is no current IIHS or NHTSA result to cite for this model year.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a more rugged look, a new engine, and a roomier, more versatile cabin.

Consider the 2027 if:

• The TrailSport trims gain upgraded suspension and extra ground clearance.

The bottom line: If you want the newest redesign and a stable used-market price, the 2026 is the better primary target. If you are shopping for the most trail-ready version and can stretch for a newer model, the 2027 is worth a look. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2026 still offers the cleaner path into the redesigned Passport.

The Passport looks like the better all-around choice if you want a more comfortable, tech-friendly SUV with strong cargo space. The 4Runner is the more specialized off-road pick, but its ride and second-row comfort are weaker.
